It's one of the few that still has a strong sense of family and self maintenance. I hope they stay around for a long time.

Note to self... an 8 with a ) behind it equals 8) Pretty funny how that worked out to be the one item that did not need work! 12) Repair port stringer at transom (one foot of damage) I found this very interesting. The only structural problem with the hull, stingers and bulkheads on WayWeGo is ident...

Oil & Water Restoration Thread
The last five weeks have been busy for us. It all started out as a phone call back in January to look at a few boats at the local marina to help get them moving on to new owners. Along the way, my wife fell in love with a boat, my father's eyes twinkled for another Father-Son boat project, and frank...

Re: Whats your boats range and your range
My last trip was in July. Down the Potomac, south in the bay and up the Rappahannock and back for a week. 175 NM. Filled up before I left then topped off again before heading back. Fun trip. Done plenty of 120 NM for a weekend trip over the years... Wow, you did really well. Our dock neighbors have...

Best way I have found to clean the bilge is straight Purple Power sitting and then hitting it with high pressure spray or small stiff brush, like a concrete finish brush. For the really tough areas, Marine Spray Nine is a miracle product.

It is amazing just how much a PO who is well intentioned, yet non-boat systems smart can cause so many future headaches. Looks like you are making things right, which will enable you to enjoy the boat for many years, with less repeat problems the longer you own her. Nice score on the NSS Evo 2. Betw...

Re: Photo of Hydraulic Ram - F Series
I looked to see if I had one of the stern bilge... nope, just every other area. The hydraulic ram on mine is installed on a piece of wood mounted parallel to the transom and fastened to the deck supports, best I can remember. Will take a few pictures this weekend, if we don't get covered in snow!

Re: New Member 1974 F32
Nice score on the F32. I'm in a similar position of learning about the Ford blocks after years of Chevy blocks on Mercruisers, Volvo Penta, and Crusaders. What I have learned is they are torque monsters that are hard to find parts for in the marine world. Treat them right and they should last you a ...

Re: New member - 1978 F32
If only marine electronics had a "vintage" following. We'd all be rich on this board! Keep an eye out for the Simrad NSS series of MFD's (that's the pre-EVO models). They were strong MFD's that did a great job with chart plotting and good bottom contoring with the 80/200Mhz transducer. The...
