Re: Leaking Side Windows
I had a leak on my port cabin side window towards the front. Mine was caused by a dried out caulk bead on the frame itself. I ended up re-bedding the frame and haven't had a leak since.

Re: Rebedding F26 Front Window
Looks like it's coming along, it seems all too familiar. I was lucky enough to get all of my screws out without breaking any of them. Make sure you get all of the old sealant off of the frame, it will take awhile, but you need it all off to get a good seal. When you remove all of the sealant off of ...

Re: F36 stanchions
Those do look nice. A few of the rail bases are broke. I think im just going to go with aftermarket ones. They seem to be thicker. And someone already replaced one with the am type That makes sense if you have some broken ones. Mine were chrome plated bronze, not stainless. wow those are nice. who ...

Re: F36 stanchions
Why don't you just get all of them re-chromed? I just had all of my original deck hardware re-chromed when I redid the deck. Depending on how many stanchions you have, if might be cheaper. Plus all of the holes will line up. Make sure you use a good backing plate, mine were plywood and needed to be ...

Re: F-26 Deck Repair
Thank You
The whole boat was sprayed from the rubrail up with Gel-Coat, The photo's show the initial buff after wet sanding. All that's left is fix a few spots, then roll on the gel coat non-skid in the spring

Re: F-26 Deck Repair
Here are some more progress photos, just before I threw the cover on. Still have some blocking needed around the cockpit area, and to roll on the non-skid when it gets warmer but it's pretty close. I still have a whole laundry list of things to do, until then I'm going to start putting the cabin bac...

Re: 1971 F-26 Repower Diesel or Gas?
Not as much as you Matt I could not even imagine all of that deck work you did. I am dreading it I have a slight soft spot where the driver stands. I like the windlass I installed and im going to use your lead on splitting the rope locker in two. This is why I love this site so many great ideas. Ha...
