You wont find a chrysler bobtail. A bobtail engine might still need a differant oil pan, exhaust manifolds and a carb.

If you change to a chevy would you not have to change the bell housing? Also with reverse rotation engine (chrysler ) does chevy make one? If these are orginal carbs they would be carters.

Went thru the same dilema several years ago. Went with rebuilding the chryslers.Rebuild what you have. Cheapest way to go. The 360 are 250 hp.I changed the cam to a higher profile. What a difference. What parts are difficult to get ?. Chryslers are a 2 bolt main where as a chevy needs a 4 bolt main....

Had to step in. You can compare readings between the engines. Fuel OR ignition? Fuel - After it stalls is the carb out of fuel? Try the accelerator pump and see if it pumps fuel.Should be a strong stream. If not start at the tank pickup & anti - siphon valve follow the line. Fuel filters. Had a ...

It will cost more to install than the price of the windlass. Rode,chain,shackles,circuit breaker,wiring,chain lock.pulpit roller.

Dont give up. When I bought my 1981 F-32 in 98 I paid market value at that time ( not even halve of it now).. Here is what I have. A 1800 watt inverter, 4 T-105 Trojan 6 volt battery's and 2 - 85watt kyrocera solar panels. The batteries are strictly for the a\c fridge. The cost of the solar system equaled the cost of a portable Genny. Silent power. 8 years now
