Re: Removing Vinyl From Interior

Haven't gotten back to this but will soon. Our 17 year old daughter accused us of adopting another child, so we took a boat break for the holiday. And yes, we died sitting at home on those 75 degree days!

yep, I'll take spring, too. Feels like it now, but I know it won't last.

Re: WISHING ALL A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas! We took a break from the boat for the holiday, but Chris couldn't resist bringing a little Trojan to the back yard. Lol. https://goo.gl/photos/9CzjY5s4K8aNkfYz9

Re: Removing Vinyl From Interior

Thanks, guys. I'll definitely try the heat gun/scraper strategy first, then move the chemicals only as a last resort. As soon as I figure out what to replace it with, I'll have a better idea of how to prep the surface. One suggestion was wood veneer, but I feel like there's enough wood already. And ...

I know this is an old thread, but if you're still around, did you ever put in your skylight? If so, did it work for you?

Re: Removing Vinyl From Interior

I don't want to spoil your fun but. If your cabin is that wet I would check for rotten decks before you spend to much time or money. Check for leaks around the deck fittings and windshield after you have the headliner down. Thanks for the advice! Will do. I'm not boat savvy - yet! - but I don't thi...

Re: Interior Ideas for 1976 F32

Lizz, Bringing a boat back to life is a labor of love. But it was well worth it. It also kept me out of trouble... I have some parts the I salvaged of a 1978 F-32. One is 3 teak galley drawers, table with leg, bridge ladder, sliding door, and complete taft rail for cockpit. Others items not listing...

Re: Interior Ideas for 1976 F32

Thanks for the suggestions, Rick. It makes me feel really lucky to have so much of the original interior intact. We were missing some things, but we went to the previous owner's house Sunday (for those of you who missed it, the boat was given to us by a friend who had inherited it from his dad) and ...

Re: Interior Ideas for 1976 F32

Lizz, I finished a total re-fit, remodel on my 1975 F-32. I removed 95% of the interior, cleaned, replaced most of it. By far the headliner was the hardest. I designed and installed the galley. The hardwood floors look great. I did all the sewing on the soft goods, forward stateroom, dinette, sofa-...

Re: Interior Ideas for 1976 F32

Haha no you wouldn't. It's worse than yours when you got it. We are in the middle of some interior work too. Besides I can't seem to post pics either. Go ahead! Misery loves company. I'm using Google photo app. All my photos are there, but only my boat photos are public. You can post a link to the ...
