May want to consider wearing a pair of metal shorts to protect the family jewels when it's running and you're at the upper helm  +1000 Microwave ovens were called "Radar Ranges" when they first were introduced because they use radar waves to cook the food. I would strongly advise a...

My Chrysler 225 (318) manual recommends turning off the fuel and running the carb dry for winterization. I've always done this with my snowblower and it always starts no problem the next winter. Did you run the carbs dry or leave gas in them?

I'm on the Delaware River (brackish), so I use aluminum anodes. Zinc is not reactive enough.

Shaft Anode Size

According to my manual, I have a 1" shaft on my F26. I purchased a shaft anode for a 1" shaft, but when I put it on there was a small gap (1/8") between the two halves. Is this normal? The anode it replaced had the two halves fused together, and I had to use a screwdriver and hammer (...

With the number of boats for sale and the fact that you already know these sellers are not being truthful, I would run away from this one. Getting a survey done on this pig seems like a waste of $600, especially since you would have to truck it overland to where you are anyway. Add in that the askin...

Only one engine, don't know much about the F26 My F26 has a single 318 in it, but twin exhausts out the stern. It pretty much looks exactly like yours on the starboard side, with a mirror image exhaust on the port side. I don't know why, but I always figured the F25 exhaust design would be the same...

Curtain Tabs

Does anyone know where I can purchase the plastic tabs that are sewn on to the curtains inside the boat and slide into the metal rails? Beacon Marine had them for sale previously, but they're not on their website anymore. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

With the price of gas, most of my F26 time will be at the dock. Most of my underway time will be in my 14' Starcraft. 3 gallons goes a long way with the four stroke 9.9 hp outboard. Not so much with the F26. If it was me, I would keep it and use it more.

Nice job with the bottom paint. I noticed that your F25 only has one exhaust, which surprised me since my F26 has two. Is this a common difference between the F25 and F26?

A friend of mine has been living with Lupus for over 25 years. He has to take medication daily and can not be in the sun without sunscreen, but other than that he lives a "normal" life. Be glad they found it and you'll now get the treatment you need. Good luck with everything, and stay opt...

Nice job Jeff! I don't think I'd ever have the cajones to try and pull that off myself. Very impressive.

With gas at $4 per gallon, our F26 will be more of a second home than a motor vehicle. I will probably exercise the engine, transmission, and V-drive every couple of weeks, but will probably only leave the dock a few times this summer. Most of our underway time will probably be in the 14' rowboat wi...

If you're buying new, why not buy fuel injection and electronic ignition? My last boat had a Volvo 5.7 GSi, and it ran great with very little maintenance. I know Crusader offers a 5.7 with fuel injection and electronic ignition. I'm sure other manufacturers also offer them.

Still trying to figure out the figures you got off the net. Traditionally I see negative numbers as anodes are the negative charge (anode) in the equation and the item being protected is more positively charged (cathode) in comparison. It may just be a current versus electron flow situation. Curren...
