Re: Another fuel tank question!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I've been through 23 filters this season! I know that's lame, but its kept us cruising!

Another fuel tank question!
I have a cylinder approx 18" x 48". 50 gal. Would this tank have baffles? During winter lay up I need to decide if I can clean that tank or replace it. I'm not a fan of plastic tanks, because of the smell. But I'm currently avg 2hrs on a 20 micron filter before the filter cannot keep up wi...

Re: Loose Steering
I apologize for the hijack here, but i too have encountered some ''weird'' steering issues with my F25 concerning crossing wake. Cutting through between 90 and 45 deg of on coming boats is fine, but when im overtaken by a bigger boat and there wake catches up, oh man! It sounds like when the big wat...

Re: Launch Day
Thanks for all the input on the vibration. I had a good day on the water checking everything out, I think I just had to find a good cruising sweet spot. Tabs set good and rpm about 2100, cruising 12 mph. I think the switch from a 5.7 19 ft Baja, 0- 40 on plane in about 4 secs had me spoiled. To me, ...

Re: Launch Day
The way the trailer is set up, it wouldn't have hit the strut. I did the grap and wiggle test on the shaft at the strut when I turned the shaft out of the water. Looked centered in the bearing Now when I launched I noticed the vibration, but I had been on the trailer for 6 months. Since then I have ...

Re: Launch Day
Thanks, i appreciate that. Everything went pretty good, with the exception of the the fuel tank. I dont know what i knocked loose in the bottom of the tank, but im clogging up the fuel water seperators pretty good, and the pick up in the tank as well. the asv had been previously removed. So im fight...

Got her in about 2 weeks ago. Rolled into Fox Harbor in 3 feet of water. Very nerve wrecking 2 hours.

Re: Isolation switch
It doesn't get any easier than this. I have a picture of my wiring in my photobucket which includes four battery two bank set up, with a 12v distribution block with all house loads that run off either bank, either bank Will start engine, positive to engine must be on common, not one or two. http://w...

Re: Our Age
Um, 35 here boys. I decided when I bought my first car at 15, (bailing hay, walking beans, washings dishes at my great aunts restaurant.) That I wanted something cool and different. I bought a 63 ford galaxy that me and my dad tore down and rebuilt, man that 260 v8 was a dog. So many projects later ...

Re: New pictures
Thanks 35. I posted a video shortly after I purchased her. The boat is in great shape. It was about half done, there were serious electrical shortcuts, the thru hulls scared the heck out of me, but the cruisar a/c works like a champ. Swim platform is between coats, black bottom paint on the shelf wa...
