My f26 leaked badly when I bought her and most was coming thru between the frame and the cabin. Used 4200 and have no side leaks now. Roy

Like you, Reelfishin, I take a camera with me almost everywhere. Sometimes you luck into shots like these two. Also check out fishing, Gulf of Mexico style. http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww281/RottenRoy/DIVING%20PICS/TROJAN%20VACATION%20PICS/IMG_4180eee.jpg http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww...

Reelfishin:
Thank you, it is a very nice boat in great condition. We really like it. It is a lot of boat for a 26 footer. I think it has classic lines that never go out of style.

Nice Yacht with classic lines. Kinda why I love the looks of my '78 F26, it has classic lines of a larger boat. Thanks for the info on posting, now how do I get my avatar to post?? http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww281/RottenRoy/DIVING%20PICS/TROJAN%20VACATION%20PICS/IMG_4009eee.jpg http://i728.p...

Boy, you sure did a nice job on her. I was wondering where you got the time, till I realized your season is limited way up north there! Down here in north Florida we can boat year round! Please do post some more pics , I bet the interior is beautiful too. Roy

OVERPOWERED PROP/SHAFT
RANDYP AND PAUL , ARE BOTH PROBABLY CORRECT, THE NEW ENGINE (~360HP) IS TOO MUCH FOR THE SHAFT AND PROP. THE VIBRATION REMINDS ME OF MY FATHERS 1968, 38' OWENS TWIN ENGINE, FLUSH DECK MAHOGANY CRUISER, THAT HE INSISTED NEEDED ANOTHER STRUT ON EACH SIDE. i THINK ANY MORE PROP WOULD BE TOO MUCH POWER ...

F26 prop sizes
I recently bought a 1978 F26 hard top (flybridge removed actually). It has a single chvy 454 raw water cooled inboard, a repower I believe. I think it has the original shaft and prop. I think it needs more prop, but I have not been able to hit WOT because of excessive vibration above 3600 rpm, due t...

f26 possible purchase
I heartily recommend looking into a f26 hardtop. I wanted a sizable "cabin" cruiser that I could tow to various dive, cruise and fish locales and my f26 is perfect. As to towing, my v8 chevy 1500 (1/2 ton) pulled it but not well. It only had the 4.6 liter engine and higher gear ratio tho. ...
