Re: Side Window Slider removal

Welcome to the world of boats. You may well have to remove the window to remove the chrome strip from it. Having said that, you haven't said why you want to remove it? Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, there may be another way to approach the problem.

Re: Rear windows on my 75 F32 sedan

For the life of me I can't figure out what h-channel you guys are talking about? Its basically the edging for the sliding window panels that holds the glass on one side, and slides along the guides in the window frames on the other. Here is a picture of it https://www.trojanboats.net/zencart/index....

Re: Rear windows on my 75 F32 sedan

Are you talking about the 2 aft 'sliders' on the sides, or the big panes on either side of the sliding door? If the first one, glass can be cut by someone local if you can take them what you have to be used as a template, and Beacon can walk you through how to get the existing ones out and new ones ...

Re: New to the Trojan World

It's possible your impellers just got to 'that age'. There are a bunch of basic 'how to' videos out there for how to do the swap, such as this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOacHnmlH_I. It's a little more of a challenge with how our engines are set up as you are either laying or squatting over...

Re: Great Lakes water levels

Here we go again! A view of the main pier (shown in earlier pic entirely under water 2 years ago), pier edges already broached and another few inches and we are fully submerged again. IMG_3825.JPG There are are these shots of the dock beside the launch ramp and the fuel dock also shown in an earlier...

Re: Which Trojan model is this?

I'm wondering if it might be a prototype for a model they decided not to go with, because the window frames / windows and navigation light appear to be Trojan OEM. If it was a custom build / rebuild, it would surprise me if they could build it for original Trojan window frame to fit so well.

Re: F36 Fuel Sender Access Panels

Don't want to hijack in any way... but need to do a +100 on WEMA! Short story (hopefully), and Moderator can move it to a new thread or leave it here as he desires based on whether on or off topic.. Years ago (close to 20) just after I bought my F32, I needed to replace level sender for the fresh wa...

Re: OE Autopilot

Have also had issues with distributor sticking or not advancing properly, resulting in not being able to get revs above a certain limit. Lots of reasons you might not get the RPMs you want (including tach not reporting properly or badly adjusted or slipping throttle cables!), so its a process of wor...

Re: Sherwood GB-7 Raw Water Pump

Sorry just wanted to verify -- raw water pump at the side of the engine or circulation pump at the front of it? Where on the pump was the leak coming from - pulley area, seal between pump bodies or pump and block, hose attachments? Normally when a seal goes bad it's gone. Have bolts loosened off a b...

Re: Engine Synchonizer

I had to disconnect my original synch a few years back when something went weird with the electrical system on one engine and the 50A breaker blew..... (insurance company put it down to lightning strike) but the engine it kept running by pulling 12V DC power - with reverse polarity - from the OTHER ...

Re: Attachment of rear rub rail

Are you talking about the wood 'backing strip' on the inside of the deck to hull joint? Don't think I have pictures, but if I remember correctly bolts for the rub rail come in through the hull/deck joint and through the wood strip, then have nuts/washers or 'blind nuts' on the inside.

Re: F32 V-berth door removal

Looks good. My layout never had the door, so the whole stbd side bulkhead is also open (ie not there). So ahead of the dinette I just have a shelf. Just a FYI - those screws are probably not Phillips heads... they are probably something called Frearson. Looks a lot like Phillips, but the V-shape for...

Re: 1973 Trojan Sea Raider - Exterior Seems/Cracks/Seals

We did the hard top, you are trying to do the cabin top ... there are likely more wrinkles to deal with that as the vinyl may have been laid before the window frames were fastened on top.... On ours the staples were essentially under the drip trim. I know some paint the vinyl, but usually just to tr...

Re: 1973 Trojan Sea Raider - Exterior Seems/Cracks/Seals

No... Boat was either built as an 'express' (windshield but only a canvas top), hard top, or fly bridge model (hardtop with 2nd steering station on top of it). There are after market places you can approach to have a hard top built for you, but will likely be a fiberglass or plastic molded structure...
