Hey Paul, thanks for the pics and info...
Does that product in the pic have any kind of integrated sound deadening rubber/ poly type layer?
Been reading a lot about the principles of sound proofing. Apparently the combination of foam and rubber layers are the key.

Engine sound deadening....
The market's best is believed to be Dynamat, but wow, is it pricey... Has anyone found a cheaper alternative with a noticeable difference in engine noise through the cockpit sole? My Trojan has the factory teak sole, and I would like to adhere to both the engine cover, and the port and starboard hel...

Re: Here we go...Design/ Build Arch
The plan is 0.125 ga. sheets with the only seam being in the centre of the arch both top & bottom. Yes...it will be powder coated white for the finish. Seen a lot of stuff over the past 10 or so years that has been powdered coated, yielding excellent results. Designed & built this folding co...

Re: Here we go...Design/ Build Arch
Should be an interesting build, be sure to keep us posted on the progress. Frame and sheet? Welded? All welded, 2 main hoops & 2 supports per side with 7/8" O.D....welded to 2 slightly curved base plates. Should give it sufficient lateral stability up to the bends. Concerted efforts to kee...

Re: Here we go...Design/ Build Arch
After many hours of deliberation, the decision to go the fiberglass route is out the window. Never been one much for conformity...so I've completed the designs for an all aluminum arch. Fully skinned without the exposed tubular look seen so much these days. The arch will be finished in white. Below ...

Re: Here we go...Design/ Build Arch
Hi Paul, is that a photo shopped picture of your idea, or another boat, either way that is super cool and a modern/functional way to hang canvas. I wonder if that would work on a Tri Fly????? Hi Barrie, yes I photo shopped the arch onto a photo of my boat. Have been playing with the concept f...

Re: Here we go...Design/ Build Arch
Lol... yes, part of the plan is to have the All Round white light up there. The others are a strong enough build to have Stainless Grab handles on the aft edges and, overhead LED Cockpit lighting on the underside. Radar serves no purpose for our boating style in the area we travel. I'm designing a f...

Re: Looking at an F25
It will almost certainly have soft spots....anchor plates on fore deck, hause pipe for anchor rode, cabin roof forward around port and starboard handle points where fastened to name a few. Don't expect perfection....they are repairable within reason. The old Trojan style railings are week and frumpy...

Re: Dinghy Roller Mount - Design Build
Very nice job! We are looking at options to mount our 11 1/2' inflatable and not seeing much we like. Any chance you can post a photo of the mounts without the dinghy in place? I have been thinking about fabricating something myself to get a good solution. http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu301/F...

Oh, and they are removable too...
Each of the two mounts have two pull pins. Pull the pins toss the mounts under the rear bench, no stubbing toes!

Dinghy Roller Mount - Design Build
Wanted a simple easy way to load the tender & outboard up onto my swim platform... Made this set-up, and it works great. Just pull it up with the dinghy's bow handle and tether it. The Admiral can even pull it aboard, and launch it with relative ease. Combined weight of the dinghy (123 lbs), 20 ...
