Re: Made a new dinghy cover!

The pic above is with our old Zodiac & 5 hp... After a trial run for fit, the new Highfield & 20 hp will sit the same on the platform...except bow to starboard, and will stay there throughout the season at the marina slip. Like the idea of it being out of the water and locked to the Trojan w...

Re: Made a new dinghy cover!

Our swim platform is big enough to carry it.
Currently designing a roller set up to pull it up and on the platform from the port side with very little effort.
Then with a few strategically placed lanyards and we will be good to go.

Re: Made a new dinghy cover!

Looking good! We have 10' Apex with a 15hp Yamaha. Adds a whole 'nother dimension to boating. Like bringing along a portable amusement ride. Exactly....we just replaced that old Merc 8 hp with a brand new Suzuki 20 hp battery less fuel injected 4 stroke. Boat show special...6 year warranty. Can't w...

Made a new dinghy cover!

Last year we invested in a new Highfield RIB. The factory cover near basically fell apart after one season. Sooo...bring in some Sunbrella Marine, add a bit of good UV thread...finish off with some heat press vinyl insignia... And whullah!...A durable, yet pretty outfit for our tender. http://i658.p...

Re: 3200 RPM Max, 225hp LM318....

Heh Paul.....one question for you, have you put timing tape on and plotted the advance curve, whats your total and is it in by 2800 or there abouts and got to hit the appropriate rpm , advance degree spots.....I have much the same racing background as you just drag cars, anyway if your curve aint r...

Re: Msd ignition

I installed a Sierra electronic ignition conversion kit in my Mallory distributor about 10 years ago and haven't had a single ignition issue since. Sure beats the maintenance of keeping the points tuned properly. Hi Paul, Not sure if I had asked you this before, but are running a 318 or 360? And do...

Re: 3200 RPM Max, 225hp LM318....

... why when my boat is stripped down weight wise, is it I cannot get past 3400 RPM ? Regardless of speed... In propellers, the blade area should be directly proportional to the horse power being applied to it. That being said, too much area can load up the engine a little too much before it hits i...

Re: 3200 RPM Max, 225hp LM318....

This is true, I have calculated about 810 lbs additional weight, which is more or less 15% more then the factory 5400 lbs. That being determined a few seasons ago, I took the liberty of emptying the entire boat of anything and everything that wasn't bolted down...even bow and stern anchors (was amaz...

3200 RPM Max, 225hp LM318....

Well here we go...I have painstakingly searched and read every thread on every forum including our Trojan, and MarineEngine etc. Any and all threads pertaining to the inability to reach WOT under load. Every possible reason and solution has been addressed by our Forums' Elite, yet there are still a ...

Re: F26 - Interior Restoration

That blue kinda dates the boats to me. Copper coloured bottoms???? here I come google! Thanks Barrie...
