Re: Replacement toilet for a '75 F36
What would be the best replacement toilet for our boat. We just bought the boat and need to replace the one in it since it is cracked. You don't say where you boat. I boat on Great Lakes with my F32 so happily use a raw water head. My Florida boat is setup to use fresh water from the water tanks so...

Re: Any opinions on this chart plotter?
My only comment is that when I consider chartplotters the number one thing for me is what type of charts does it use! If it does not use the charts I want CMap/Garmin then I'm not interested no matter the price.

Re: Window replacement * help
The rear door is just like a home patio door. In the door top and bottom on the vertical edge are srews to adjust the rollers up & down. So you move rollers in towards centre of panel thus creating more clearance on the ends of door so one can lift bottom up and off the rail that roller runs on....

The 1980 F32 I bought to resell needs all 3 pieces of glass, I can't seem to find the thread and I'm wondering if it's possible to leave the assembly and just remove the glass There's a lot of glass on the F32. Which are you talking about: Front windshield.... 3 panes Side windows 2 sets of two on ...

Re: Who's running dripless shaft seals?
I'm also using the GFO packing. The GFO packing is dripless when the shaft is not spinning. I get about 1 drop every 6 seconds when the shaft is spinning. The amount of water that comes in is minimal, and it's a much simpler design than a true dripless shaft seal. Give the bushing another 1/4 turn ...

Re: Dual Helm Ignition question
My set up works just like Diverted Income switches Michael (Ready) my helm looks just like yours but my switches are only spring loaded to start , switch is off-on-start . A monetary off (spring loaded ) Sounds like a diesel set up that uses a shut down solenoid . Any chance your thinking about the...

Re: eng sync.
Listen to the sound of the props in the water..... adjust one engine up and down say 200 rpm from matched speed and observe the changing sound, you will soon understand the spot where the props are in sync..... it just sounds right!

Re: Dual Helm Ignition question
Two toggles per engine, is one red? The toggles at the lower helm should have a central position or more correctly the down position is spring loaded so after killing the engine it returns to the central neutral position. Whichever station you use to start the engine is where you need to shut it dow...

Re: F32: How does one remove side locker salon doors?
Mine are actually stapled down, which means they can be moved but can't think of a reason other than to replace the channel.bjanakos wrote:Yes, it is how ready123 described, but it looks like that E-channel can by un-screwed and moved.

You worry about brain damage? Have you thought about where the waves actually hit while standing at the helm?? I hope you are not planning anymore kids  The first thing I would do was to put it on a radar arch (wonder why they are called that?) or only run it in bad weather when I am u...

Re: the vent question - F32
I believe that F32 that sank either had no aft bilge pump or it was inoperable. Underway the F32 bilge water will travel Aft, stationary it collects Fwd.... so two working pumps are necessary Fore & Aft.
