Alternative to cork pan gasket.

Has anyone found a better gasket set for chrysler small block aluminum oil pans?

Valve cover gaskets are available in rubber with steel inners.

For pans maybe?

Re: Trailers for Large Boats

Triple axle trailer, floating adjustable bunks. (3500 lb.axles -two forward hydraulic braking) Tow mine to and from its marina slip every year at start and end of season. Hauls beautifully with my 1/2 ton Lariat 4x4. [img] [IMG]http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu301/F26_Express/IMG_1023-1.jpg[/img...

Re: LM 318, 225hp - anyone DYI rear main seal?

Are you sure it's the rear main seal and not the pan gasket?. I'm hedging the worst case scenario....obviously no sure way of knowing until the velvet drive is separated and the flywheel is removed. Would be nice if it were only the pan gasket. I've read many a thread, both Mopar and marine engine,...

LM 318, 225hp - anyone DYI rear main seal?

Have a fair bit of experience building 4 cyl. race motors...not a stranger to this kind of thing, but I would like to know who might have done a rear main seal on a 225hp LM 318? My question for you would be, which seal did you choose..old two piece original rope seal?...or the new style rubber seal...

Re: Winter Tarp Questions

Old 40' x 60' tarp...cut patterns out of it, quick sew job.
Mine is indoor storage too, works great to keep the dust off.

Re: f26 fold down seats needed

Let me know if you have the post to I'd like to buy a complete package to install I looked through my "marine room" as my wife likes to call it and I don't have the SS tubing (legs)...just the two seats, and the original Trojan hardware for the seat mounts to the interior walls. If you in...

Sure...I have two seats with original hinges and two sets of hardware for attaching the seat tubing to the interior walls. I would have to look and see what I have left of the pedestals (legs)

Re: f26 fold down seats needed

I have a set (pair) of original seats....no legs.

I also have the side support brackets that the legs fasten to the side interior walls.

Let me know if you would like me to take pics of them.

Re: reaching wot of 4000 rpm

thanks, but the engines are jasper rebuilds with about 50 hours on them and should be loose. Prop is what I believe to be original they are 14/11 cupped. I checked with prop shop and they can add or subtract up to 2 inches of pitch, ergo 14/14 or 14/9 cupped or not. First I am going to try my secon...

Re: Carter AFB Question

Has anyone experienced obtaining just 3000 rpm at wot with 318s and the AFBs. Both have been cleaned and kits installed. Max RPM under load is 3000. Hull clean, props cleaned and run through a prop service, in fact everything below water clean. This is with two new healthy 318s just installed. Have...
