Re: Digital Dash and automation on Trojan F36 tri-fly
The RS11 for now i connected via USB to my laptop I am using both windows and linux. Windows has the better gui for testing as there is a config app but i have tested and do get readings on linux as well. Because my plan is to have the RS11's connected via usb to raspberry pi's and then move everyth...

Re: Digital Dash and automation on Trojan F36 tri-fly
I have wired up a single NoLand RS11 for testing (I will send some pics tomorrow). I installed the RS11 under the fly bridge helm (this may not be its final resting place as i do see advantages to having one in each engine compartment).

Re: F36 electronic ignition upgrade
I'm just about to leave to head down there i will check what you mentioned. For the coil, i wondered the same thing, not sure if it destroys a coil if its wired backwards as the boat ran for several days like that (not starting well of course). I will do some swap and replace with the starboard engi...

Digital Dash and automation on Trojan F36 tri-fly
Hi Guys, I don't have a lot to post at the moment but as requested i will keep this up to date as things progress: Summery of project: I wanted a way to digitize and build a digital GUI to both the engines and other important areas of the boat and display the information to a modern display that did...

Re: F36 electronic ignition upgrade
Im heading to the boat tomorrow for the day so will try this out. In the past i have popped the center lead of the distributor and barely get a spark out of the coil but will check that this is the case now as a lot has been done. I'm still really leaning toward just buying a new ignition system as ...

Re: F36 electronic ignition upgrade
I do have Chryslers, they are 383. The electronic ignition may not be original but they are definitely quite old. I have to get the info of the boat but they have a big black cover and all the components are separated on an aluminium back plate. I definitely want to keep the boat so I'm for swapping...

F36 electronic ignition upgrade
Hi Guys, I have a rather strange problem that i believe will end up being an ignition upgrade. I have a 1976 F36 tri-fly and love it. However the port engine has started doing something that no one seems to be able to fix. partly because the issue seems to be intermittent. I've now paid 4 different ...

Re: Depth and 360 degree imaging below surface F36 tricabin
Hi Guys, its been crazy since we landed. The entire trip went well. below is an update on the items mentioned in the post. 1. I never did the get the panoptixs mounted on the hull. we got so busy with everything else. I did build a make shift mount that ran down from the swim platform mounts which p...

Re: Depth and 360 degree imaging below surface F36 tricabin
I tried the pantronix through the hull and got nothing. I actually ended up running out of time. Finally jimmied together a pole and fastened it to the center support for the rear platform at a slight angle that extended just below the transom and and even upto 10 knots produced excellent results. I...

Re: List of questions on new (for me) F36 1976 on first weekend out
Ok, so i replaced both risers on the port engine. The pics are of the port side, the starboard riser actually looked a LOT better. I did replace it but will clean up and keep it as a spare. I should of bought more mounting kits as i would have checked the starboard engine risers but the Orings are t...

Re: List of questions on new (for me) F36 1976 on first weekend out
Holly crap....,
Well that's a winter project.....
So I removed the offending riser..... The corrosion is quick extensive. My plumbing cam just broke so not able to see if there was any perforation through the exhaust wall.
Sorry for the crappy pics.
