Re: new top... FINALLY

Made me laugh. I think we all deserve a rest after our projects. For the record white phifertex is not dirt attracting. Mines been in place for nearly a year. I think rain just cleans out the mesh?

Re: new top... FINALLY

Whoa Barrie thats a compliment coming from you! The white Phifertex Max illuminates the WHOLE salon but you cant see through it at all. The black Phifetex min is handy to PEEK through say when turning around or trolling but not for picking out navigational markers or fine vision. You can see through...

Re: new top... FINALLY

That thing is a mystery. They wrap it around their dinghy and motor around Lake Union. It never loses air, and never blows away???

Re: Project "Tri Fly"

Mine is black mustang or "top gun". Acryl poly I think. Im going to post a pic once done. And since everything out west is 10x the cost and a year to schedule I tip my hat to anyone who can score a free top!

Re: Project "Tri Fly"

Sounds like you've been plenty busy. Its the small, niggling projects that really take time. Feels good to check them off the list. My top rebuild is a big glamourous deal but I'm slacking on the other stuff!

Re: 10 meter Colonoscopy

Yeah, don't keep us in suspense. Sounds like a screaming deal. I would remove the waste tank, period, and enlarge. I you can bleach a tank with Clorox (caution, all bleach is harsh on old seals or plastic fittings so not too long a soak.)or starbrite water freshener.

Re: new top... FINALLY

Re: Aaron Bocknek -- 1960 to 2016

I read some of his posts and just want to say this: A community is a great place to meet others and exchange ideas. If you don't know, someone else may know, or feel frustrated with something, even in life, you can support one another and learn together. The old saying " I'm everyone I have met...

Re: What Fuel Stabilizer do you use?

I have recently discovered Lucas ethanol fuel additive or whatever. But I tend to think just buying the basic stuff in quantity when on sale is good. Keep in mind that ethanol free fuel also goes stale as discussed. Finally I think the best way to do it is to run as much fuel as you can out, drain t...

Re: Engine sync at idle ?

Milfoil often grows more on one side (sunny side and a shady side) and I know of a boat that really dragged its gear on ONE side while trying to back out. The owner couldn't get while he was getting stuck. It happens.
