Re: Show me your V-Berth
I also re-bedded the forward hatch as it was leaking (sorry no pictures of that one) Now for the plan. This is where I need your input. I want to re-do the chain locker bulkhead and create a shelf to hold a flat screen TV and maybe some books. Re-do the bulkhead separating the V-Berth and the head a...

Re: Show me your V-Berth
Removing the plywood pads on the walls and ceiling was a PITA. I had to use a wood chisel to get most of it off and finish with an 8" grinder and sanding disk...

Show me your V-Berth
Hi All, Like so many boats of any considerable age, my boat has sustained substantial mods over the years. In my case, the forward head was separated in 2 with 1 half modified into a locker and the second half extending to the V-berth with access to the sink. My plan is to refit the boat starting fr...

Re: Steering Slop Fix
In this is the final result looking at the starboards side. The slop is much much better but I will have to wait for this weekend to try it out
If any of you need additional details, let me know. I will be happy to answer any question.
Cheers,
Christian

Re: Steering Slop Fix
Once I was satisfied that the ball joints screwed on properly, I TIG welded the ball that connects the steering arm to the shaft. I finally cleaned the ball joints, chased the set screw threads, replaced the grease nipples and re-assembled everything using grease and anti-seize as required. Last nig...

Steering Slop Fix
Howdy good people. My better half and I have been enjoying the boat almost every weekend now. One issue that was annoying was the steering slop of at least 1/2 a turn on the steering. No issue for docking but at anything above 1000 RPM. I looked drunk at the wheel... Anyhow, last weekend, I decided ...

Re: Holley Carburator Question
OK. I got some closeups of the carburetor. This first picture is with the engine cold and power on.
This second picture is after a few minute with the engine running.
It all looks good from that standpoint.- Mon Jul 18, 2016 7:38 am

Re: Holley Carburator Question
Thanks Prowlerfish! At this time, this is the only picture I have. I might be able to go to the boat next weekend to take additional pictures. "The port with the brass fitting is for the choke heater . If the choke is fully opening you can plug it off . Can you post a photo of the top of the ca...

Holley Carburator Question
Hi Guys, I wonder if one of you might have experience with this. I have 2 Holley Carbs on my Tri-Fly. I am pretty confident they are not original. Model 3279. 20160710_082731s.jpg The question I have is that there is a vacuum port open on both of my carburetors. It might be the ported vacuum for the...
