Re: Prop Maintenance

I have used a flat orbital sander with fine grit paper and then actually buffed them with compound...they came out great. I have used the wire brush, but that just took a tone of time. I use the flat sander on my rudders, shafts and props with no issue. Just have to go very light...the sand paper do...

Re: Poor old boat can't plane!

So I am no longer a proud Trojan Owner, but I still visit to see how much fun you guys are having and to educate myself. My 77 f32 had the 350 318's in it. And while I was always jealous of the many cap's that seemed to go faster than I ever could, I know at 2500, I was still pretty much going your ...

Re: Wet Exhaust Mufflers

On my f32, I had a noisy engine exhaust...replaced the muffler and no improvement. What I actually determines was there was not enough water in the baffles, due to a decrease in water flow. The engine always steamed, but it never got overly hot...and once I got the water flow corrected, the exhaust ...

Re: Moving on

It is not mounted yet, but I am actually moving and mounting it up on the front dash of the cabin. and then building a cabinet where it is now for the ice maker, bar and stereo will be. So it will remain up there bolted down to the dashboard. It is very light, so it should be fine up there. I will s...

Moving on

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the information shared over the last three years. Yesterday I sold our F32 to someone who I believe will be joining the site shortly(bitter sweet for sure as we loved the boat). He will be a great new owner. We will miss our "Other Woman" but have mo...

Re: F-32 Deadrise fot through-hull transducer

I installed mine just forward of the intakes, right down near the keel where it was relatively flat. On the starboard side between the inboard stringers, just off the rear engine mount, about 3 inches or so up from the keel. It is a 12 degree Garmin.

Re: Original Mufflers in F32

I had an issue where one engine was considerably louder than the other. I replaced the fiberglass muffler to no avail...still just as loud.(was easy to find the exact replacement on line) What I realized and it is stated early in this topic, it is all in the how the water sits in the muffler to baff...
