Re: Removing f32 aft gas tanks
I would agree with cutting the hose for sure. It was a small piece and getting it free was tough for sure...I think in the end I cut it after working it for a while.

Re: Another fuel tank question!
I should have baffles for sure. I think my 60's have two actually, and my fifties have at least one, but may have two.
Speedy Tanks in NJ did a great job for me on my midships tanks. Fit perfectly and took two weeks to fabricate. They are not cheap...but not sure anything on a boat is cheap!

Re: Removing f32 aft gas tanks
I replaced my midships tanks last year. I replaced everything from the deck plates down, using filler hose and having the correct angles made by the tank manufacturer. The only piece left in place was the vent on the hull, and I used gas hose to connect that to the tank vs. the copper that was in pl...

Re: Re WaxingHull ?
I clean with Collinite and wax with....believe it or not Nu-Wax...unreal finish and shine and it holds up all season. Very hard finish and cleans up quickly. Three coats before I launch and each one takes about 40 mins from start to finish, because it is so easy to use. The previous owner used the s...

Re: F32 fuses
My 77 has fuses as well. But when I bought mine 2 years ago, the blowers were bad and they had to be replaced. Hope you don't have that issue, it was the first thing I fixed in 2012. Now one of them is making noise, so I think they may get some salt the way they are installed causing a shortened lif...

Put two mid ships tanks in my f32 last year. These guys did a great job for me. They had the drawing in stock for the tanks.

Did you put foot pedal switches in there as well? Not sure if I want them but was wondering if you did.

Wow...I think I am just going to cover my windless this year with a canvas cover. At least for this year, next year I love the above idea! Maybe I will try to do that.

Re: thoughts on floscans
I actually put a network in off my Garmin and bought their version of flow monitors. LOVE THEM...like the previous post, you can really see when the secondaries open up and save fuel. I agree, for me not much difference between the RPM's listed and I do use them to track fuel in the tanks. Just alwa...

I am changing out my "Good" for a Profish 1000 by Lewmar. I found a great deal on the web, only 600 bucks. I am in the middle of the process at the moment so can't comment on the operation just yet, but it has free fall and retrieves at a high rate per the specs. More details and pics to f...
