Price on propeller service

Hey guys,
Went to a prop repair shop locally and asked the guy how much to repitch a 14-9 cupped to a 14-10 cupped, he quoted me with a computer analysis for a 3 blade br bronze 200 bucks. Is that about right or a bit high? Thx

Well Prowlersfish, you are 100 percent correct in my case! My down angle zf hurth trans gave my mechanic the extra room to work with. The previous engine( chrysler m360) was big to start with so the 350 fit well.

You would think new marine engine manufactures took all that into consideration when setting up hoses etc etc for ethanol gas, yes?

Being previously from Johnston County NC, i agree with you guys about the corn and some better uses for it. Many a mason jar passed around that county  . Anyway my mechanic says with my new engine being put in ( 5.7 350 mpfi chevy) best to try and stay with E less. There is only one marina in...

Non ethanol gas

Curious as to what other folks here think if the extra money spent on non ethanol gas is worth it. Does a good water separator do the job?

No biggie man, I think that engine might not have enough hp for what i use it for. Being that the F26 has a little bit of squirlyness in a following sea, having a little more boost can help . Im looking for 300-325 hp. Most of the captains down here that run Carvers and Trojans say they also boosted...

Thx MattSC for the input on your engine swap. I plan on keeping this Trojan for a long time. The F26 is perfect size for what i use it for and being on a trailer i dont have to keep it in that all destructive sea water all the time. Just like anything else you buy you want to do the homework to make...
