We've been fishing quite a bit down here in Sitka, but no pics to speak of really. The kings are starting to school up so we've picked up a few - the silvers should be showing up at the end of the month. We just used our subsistence halibut skate for the first time....totally skunked the first time ...

propane
We put in a Dickinson oil stove after buying our F30. My dad insisted that we rip out the entire propane system on our boat - he said its not a matter of IF it will blow up, its a matter of when  He's been a tugboat captain here in Alaska since he was 13 (family business), so I trust his judgem...

update
got the washdown pump working. Success! But I still don't know what the deal is with the saltwater going into the freshwater tank - the only idea I have is that its to drain the water tank when you pull the boat out of the water?
I dunno.

Washdown pump/ mystery seacock
ok so our washdown pump hasn't worked since we bought the boat, and I started messing around trying to find out why. I can't even find the pump - I think it might be stuck behind the fuel tank (not sure -still haven't really crawled around) But here's a weird thing - I found a seacock that was turne...

Mturvey, The only downside I see is re-sale. As a previous Yacht Broker I always found it hard to understand why consumers and boat builders always harp on the shower option when they are rarely used :? If you plan on keeping your boat awhile, I say make it the way you want it. Just bear in ...
