I come from a long line of tugboat/ fishing boat captains and they all did macrame and latch hook rugs to pass the time out there. Weird. Anyhoo - I will get some pics up eventually - there is a big h...

I wished I had my nephew or my brother in law with me - they are both native so they can shoot them. The rest of us have to leave them alone.....but I was daydreaming about sea otter boots, gloves, hats....pilllows... you name it. :) we had major icing on the way up to Fish Bay the first day - the w...

good eye :) actually, truth be told, my husband was driving in the worst video. I was NOT happy about that because I am a bit of a Captain Ahab on our boat. I am the captain. period. And he wanted to drive. So I sat on the couch and didn't talk to him at all. He gave me the wheel back after about 30...

My parent's boat is a 48' Tollycraft. She's heavy, powerful & handles that kind of weather much better. It was way worse before my daughter picked up the camera. When we came out of the bay, it was (according to the marine forecast) 12 foot swells at the mouth, and they were hitting us broadside...

I have some video of our F-30 handing rough water... but

My daughter is cussing like a sailor while watching us out of the back window of my parent's boat.
I want to post it for you guys to see, but I'm afraid her *very* salty language might offend :)

if you wanna see it, I can post it.

No damage to the props or the hull. You just go very, very slowly :) We used the ice to hold us still while anchored because it was gusting to 70 in the bay we were hiding in. Worked great, but we woke up with sea otters outside our window! http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c116/mbturvey/seaotteroni...

we spend a lot of time North of town (Sitka) in Salisbury Sound. Lots of fishing and cruising around. We spent the last week iced in Kalinin Bay in Salisbury Sound holding for weather. We had to leave in 7-10 foot seas, and I don't plan on going back until Spring! :) Before the super bad weather - j...

We just got back from a week long hunting trip. 5 degrees out, freezing spray and 12 foot swells. I was very very happy to get home this evening :)
I was tired of the cold.

Yay another Alaskan Trojan owner! I was beginning to think we were the only ones. I love your cutting table - I've been trying to figure out something similar for our F30. our biggest project so far (besides sanding & Epiphaning the interior wood) was putting in the SigMar oil stove. Best invest...
