Re: Shipping / Transport

You still have time, locks are free in N.Y. this year fill her with fuel and take a cruise save money and see a portion of the great loop at the same time. Just a thought because a 10m is going to cost a lot to ship.

Re: Groaning over 7 knots

Thank you diverted it's got a lock screw on the backside that I like you can set it open or closed and know it won't change i just couldn't tell which position it was in I just knew I had water flowing out the exhaust so it must have been at least semi open.

Re: Groaning over 7 knots

Prowler all four mounts look in the same shape as the one in this picture basically look new. Also since I'm posting this picture anyone have valves like these and if so how do you know which way is open? Haha I just hijacked my own thread.

Re: Groaning over 7 knots

Giving time to settle before changing things is something I can definitely handle and makes sense. I was wondering if maybe she just hadn't been in the water long enough to reset. I had a small 18 foot that would change every winter and took a day or 2 for the windshield to work again every spring b...

Re: Groaning over 7 knots

I can check the motor mounts for play and bolt tightness that should be simple enough. As for alignment is there a way to check that or is it just a tweak and try tweak and try thing until it's right?

Groaning over 7 knots

When I run my 72 f25 with direct drive 318 at slow cruise around 6 knots it's perfect no issues but if I crank her up and get her going I get groaning and oscillating drone it was dry docked for 8 years and on land there was no play anywhere and the shaft spun free in neutral and all fluids are perf...

Re: J25/26 Dimensions/Specifications ?

Windshield to ground on my Cox roller trailer my 1972 F25 is right around 10' and that's rollers not bunks so I believe it. Hard to measure accurately so 10 was the number I used on my permits.

Re: Looking at an F25

Actually after looking at the sea-tac Craigslist you guys have ridiculous boat prices anyway so he may be ok in price even with the problems there's a mint 1984 32 fly bridge for sale near me for 7500 just as an example of the value difference of boats. Sorry.

Re: New to the trojan boating club.

It seems no two fuel filters are the same so without pictures i cant even pretend to be able to help. For the power just get or build your 318 that way you don't have to change anything on the boat itself.

Re: Changed fuel filter today oh wow.

I'll be honest I have no idea on the safety of it, all i know is it is heavily tarnished so very old. I did get a chance to start it up again today and it seems after sitting 3 days it sealed itself and works again nothing but clear fuel in that bowl and a perfectly running engine so I can't imagine...

Re: Looking at an F25

What are you using it for? Because if you aren't looking for a show boat just something to fish from or go out with friends and family there's a bunch of you tube videos showing how to re-caulk the teak floor the rest except that strange cut out under the driver seat? That's not factory I'd make sur...
