Re: 1976 F-32 Shaft Strut Bolt Pattern
Thanks for the trip down memory lane Prowlersfish. I remember when I had time to do that kind of stuff. And I'm pretty sure that if Trojan couldn't be bothered to seal the limber holes that they cut in my stringers, they didn't spend the extra money to use marine-grade plywood as backing plates........

Re: 1976 F-32 Shaft Strut Bolt Pattern
I did this. Save your health and your tooling, take it to a granite countertop shop and have them cut your backing plates on a water jet cutter. Can see my example if you search "tricab underwater exhaust" and "p-dogg". My second choice would be plywood (exterior is fine -- Googl...

Re: Winterizing Batteries
Remember a battery will discharge just sitting . ^^^^^This. If you are not going to keep the batteries on a smart charger over the winter, I would just take them home and store them where freezing is not an issue. On an F-32, I presume that you are not sporting 8D's, so they should be manageable to...

Re: Bulkhead Sealing
On my tricabin (which has pumps forward, middle and aft), there are "emergency" breakers at the bottom of the panel. If you turn off the DC mains, these will stay on. If you have those, that is where you should connect any new (or all of your) bilge pumps. Good luck! Note also that I have ...

Re: Advice Sought for F25 pull and update
If the only reason that you are pulling the motor is to change the plugs, you might investigate these: https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-568-010-Expansion-Plug/dp/B0011MWHY8/ref=sr_1_24?dchild=1&keywords=Dorman+Expansion+Plug&qid=1600121217&refinements=p_n_availability%3A1248792011&s=aut...

Re: tri cabin wiper motor grounding
When faced with a zero-extra width piece of fabric after I took down the overhead just inside the aft cabin, I glued the removed fabric to a piece of 1/4" ply, then screwed it into place, using small screws in lieu of the staples in the cover trim around the edge, which had been glued to the fa...

Re: tri cabin wiper motor grounding
After further review..... You may be able to access the windshield attachment by only pulling the plywood piece that spans the slope at the overhead height transition. If you can find and reach the ground wire bolt there, you may be able to avoid half-assing it, or waiting. Wipers are a safety featu...

Re: tri cabin wiper motor grounding
Most welcome. In the meantime, as a temporary fix, you could run a wire from the ground available in the helm console, to any existing screw into the inside of your windshield (or install a new screw, depending on your tolerance for extra holes in things -- mine is near zero). When you do pull your ...

Drop your headliner. Inspect frame attachment bolts. Mine is grounded through one of them.

Re: Potential Purchase Advice
Tricabs are great boats, so long as fishing is not your primary activity. I believe that year has a small aft cockpit (prone to rotting -- google is your friend) and two beds in the aft cabin. They will be hot to lay on after running. I have the center-line full-sized bed, and a bath tub. I sleep on...
