I have the original Chrysler 360 cu in engines (260hp) in my 1979 model. Needed nothing else other than some minor wiring updates (ie think I had to change the connectors on some of the old wires from spade and ring connectors or the other way around). Gauge sizes were also correct to just plop in t...

I know a lot of time has gone by, but just came across the part numbers of the gauges I used, and thought I would post just incase it is still of value to someone ... (Toronto International Boat Show is tomorrow, so I am digging through my folder of 'things to do' and 'cool ideas' and making up my s...

The boat looks like a 28' Sea Skiff model, or similar. Think they made a 26' as well as the 28'... My father's was a 1969 model, but the boats looked very similar from about '67 on to '69. Prior to that the hulls were planked or molded plywood I think, and in '70 I think they started making fibregla...

There is no way a '69 Trojan didn't have a drain plug. In your model it may not be at the stern. My father's '69 28 footer (wood hull) only had a single plug near the bow (vs my F32 that has plugs both near the bow and near the transom). Look underneath the boat for a thru hull about 3-8' from the b...

Window replacement has been discussed in several other threads, so I think many of your questions will probably be answered if you do searches ('search for all terms') for 'salon window' and 'sliding door' and review the threads that are offered up.

I have been using the "15% rule" for years. Made feel a bit better when my old boat - a 26' Four Winns Liberator with twin 350 Magnums (overall weight about 6000 pounds, 1/3 of that was engines!!!) topped out at only 58 knots. But thanks to the 15% rule, I could tell people it did more tha...

Re access to engines etc in the GAMG boat - the entertainment centre doesn't really protrude too much into the salon - it only sticks out about a foot and the TV is recessed back into the (normal) side cupboard. If you look at the "Before and After" pics on the GAMG site, the openings over...

Couldn't find the GAMG brochure, but did find some additional images that I collected back in 2003! Hope these show up reasonably... Don't really show off v-berth that much, but do give different camera angle on some of the other mods.

Ready... a little off topic for the thread being about propping a 10 meter, but was curious what 4 blade you were using... I know the 'standard' 3 blade for the F32 is a 16x16 cupped, but what diameter / pitch of 4 blade are you running? I'm always looking for things to improve running angle and fue...

Mac32 - I may have other pics at home; this boat was shown by GAMG at the Toronto International Boat Show when they first finished it (probably around 2004?). I may have taken some photos and I recall a little brochure they had made up. Will try to remember to look for them over the weekend and see ...

Here's another source for old boat brochures.... http://www.boatingwithdawsons.com/brochures/azbrochures.html Doug Dawson's family has been in the boating business for 5 generations, and they used to own and operate one of the Trojan dealerships in Canada (on Lake Simcoe). Dawson has been collecting...

Here's another somewhat 'modded' F32... This company specializes in building custom aircraft interiors (typically private planes I guess) and decided to experiment with boats a few years back. http://www.gamg.ca/index.html Originally they redid an F32, then put it on the market for something like $1...

The bridge was an 'option' from Trojan for the F32 ... not standard equipment. But it looks like about 99% of the boats built included the option! I have only ever seen the bridge-less version in pictures on yachtworld.com and the like.

I had to replace gauges on my 1979 F32 a few years back. Tried to find original Detmar gauges, but was unable to locate a supplier. Ended up with Teleflex Red International series. They looked "similar" to the old ones, and were compatible with the existing sending units (Chrysler 360 engi...
