Re: Cockpit Step

Redfin, I am also in the market for a step. Was fishing with some friends this weekend and they asked when I was putting a step in thought about just building an 8-9" teak box that would be a step. Would like to have a beeter system. Would you be willing to share some pics and dimensions of wha...

Re: Boat Insurance

Try Liberty Mutual, I just insured my 77 F-26 with them. Reasonable rate and great service.

Re: 4" bilge blower repairs

Fresh air shoud be drawn in from vents while blowers are exhausting existing air from the compartment. I am not aware of any need for blowers to be used in supplying fresh air.

Re: 4" bilge blower repairs

My blower sounds like an M1A1 tank at full throttle. My plan is to replace with Inline.

Found al the parts I need for conversion online and have ordered. I have an F-26, so not sure what other models would require.

Re: Radar & MFD

Paul, Sounds like you have put some thought into what you want a system to provide you! I am still running components and from different mfg's. I run a JRC 1000 Mk II on my F-26 ( and my Sabre ) which give me up to 16 mile view. I am happy with, and most concerned with target seperation at close ran...

Re: Clean machine on ebay (va )

Imagine showing up to your marina to find someone on your boat

they look at you and reply: what do you mean "your" boat, I just bought this from Randy!

I'm calling scam, and furthermore, no one should ever buy a boat without inspecting it

Re: F-26 Wiper Motor

I traced my power to the positive lead and have 12.5 volts at the motor, and tried jumping the ground.

Motor still did not turn so I assumed bad motor. I think I will wait until I head back out and try to bench the motor straight off the battery before I invest in a new one.

Thanks for the advice

F-26 Wiper Motor

Hoping someone can help me with standard replacement advice for wiper motor replacement. It appears that I have a single speed AFI motor ( MRV I think) from Marineco. I left the boat without measuring shaft length and would like to buy a replacement motor before I go back out. Anyone replaced the mo...

Re: My First Trojan

We are staying in Kewaunee. My options for Algoma would be limited to the city marina and most of the charter traffic has moved there. I have heard good things about Kewaunee and am looking forward to the change as we have been in algoma for the last 15 years. I am very familiar with Overboard, Ric ...

Re: My First Trojan

Thanks Paul! The hull has been painted, bottom was stripped several years ago and hull got three coats and 7 coats with barrier below waterline. Now I'm waiting for winter to give the cabin the "Paul" finish. you will most likely get sick of me asking how you got yours so beautiful! (Start...

Re: My First Trojan

Sadly, I have enough rods to fill all available space in the launchers and deck. We are located on Lake Michigan out of Kewaunee WI and will be primarily fishing for Salmon and Trout. With a full crew on board(6) we can run 18 lines. Just NO SHARP TURNS! Gladd to hear about the toe rails and...

My First Trojan

Well it is official, I now own a 1977 F-26 express fly bridge. (261) 233 mercruiser 351 ford, 1:1 velvet drive swinging a 14 x 9 double cup. I debated whether to commission a survey , however I am glad I did as it found several deficiencies that I was able to build into the purchase price. Good surv...
