I'd like to do maintenance on mine while it is out of the water. I bought it last year so haven't had a chance.
What sort of maintenance or adjustments are required? How much free play should they have?

Battery box cleanup and wiring
Good morning all! What gauge battery wire should I use for the starting circuit? Any recommendations on battery lugs? Also, I want to add power and ground buss since I only have the original one and its pretty corroded. How do I pick the correct buss? I see power bars, gang bus bars, and maxi bus on...

Great, any installation tips?
Clean and buff first? Then apply, then wax?

Re: Need Help With Battery Wiring.
Looking forward to your battery wiring project! I hope you document and write it up like in your other thread. I have a similar wiring mess to tackle. Is there a better replacement for the solenoid/relay in the battery box? I have all my batteries out and am cleaning up the mess. Would like to repla...

Re: Internationals: How Dry Are Your Bilges?
I get a lot of water in the engine/cockpit bilges. I'm working on sealing the hatches where the seats mount so I think that will help a lot.

Re: Strainer advice do's/don'ts...
Mine is a 10M International, but all original. I have the old style sea-cock located under the pulleys on each engine, hose goes to a Perko strainer setup, then up to the E35 water pumps. The thru hulls have a strainer on the outside. If I replace them I'll put a hinged strainer on them, so I can ge...

Re: Strainer advice do's/don'ts...
I have the original sea cocks as well. I would like to replace them and move the location. Currently they are under the engines, toward the crank pulleys and its hard to get my hands under there to open/close the valves. They are stiff turning. I cleaned up my original Perko strainers and got 1 new ...

Re: 10 Meter Express Cabin Door Help
I replaced my worn out slider wheels with some ultra high density plastic pieces. I cut them in the shape of a "T" cross width, and make them about 2" long. Sprayed with dry lubricant. Works fine. I also removed both C channels, took a scotch brite to them, and cleaned and painted the...

Re: Restoring Lexan Port Windows.
Oh great! Another project I can add to my list. Thanks for the idea! My windows sure could use a freshening up. Did a set of headlights with sandpaper (750, 1000, 2000 wet sanding if think) and they turned out great. Never thought of doing it to the side windows or portholes. Mine sure do need it.

Re: Converted My 10 Meter Helm Seat To Electric
Cool! I plan on working on something similar over the winter. I found some 12v geared head electric seat motors on Amazon for short money. I'm very tall, so when I sit down I see the top of the drivers window frame. So, I either have to stand up or sit with a serious slouch, both are not comfy.
