Re: Dreaded 2 Engine failure

I think you are right... and will have wing checked out... whoever owned my boat before did a pretty crazy setup with the starter batteries and house batteries... on my boat, I need to have boat battery switch in BOTH position for engines to start. Re: Stuffing box maintenance, replacement

great advice! I agree it makes sense it is about performance under loan, not how many drips are coming out at rest...

is it an easy job to repack?
what is involved?
does it require special tools?

thanks!

My fire extinguisher is from 1977... not sure it could supply that much O2... thanks any others have experience with...

2 engines, better chances of not getting stranded?!

2 engines, better chances of not getting stranded?! I have a 1977 F30 Express with dual chyrsler 318's... It would seem with 2 engines, if one were ever to fail, you would have the other one to get you home, and never be stranded! (??) are there situations/failures that would cause neither engine to...

I am thinking it would be great to have a generator on board for AC... on my 1977 F30 Express...
I was thinking of putting it on the Swim platform which i do not use...

Has anyone done this?

Re: Kill Switch

I am thinking of a tethered safety type kill switch...
Instead of turning engines off, it would be nice to have it just drop both throttles to zero instantly...

thanks!
