Looking good! I ended up installing an access cover on the hatch over my flame arrestor to give me a little extra clearance.

Re: f26 clean slate for new 350 and zf trans

Looks really nice, it's going to be like new. My engine is LH. I'm using the original velvet drive, though it was rebuilt when I did the repower, but we had to flip the pump and it works fine. I did have to change the prop though. Once underway, except for the power difference I didn't really notice...

Re: Trojan F25 New Owner/Progress

Congratulations and best of luck with your boat. Some of those photos look very familiar, especially the headliner. Look forward to seeing your progress, all of your work will be worth it when you're done.

Re: new engine for the f26

That's a nice looking engine, You'll have a brand new F-26. The re-power made mine a completely different boat, you'll be pleasantly suprised. My 5.7 was really close to the deck hatch, I had to remove the "captains choice" decorative cover for it to fit under the hatch, and also added a a...

Re: F-26 Deck Repair

Thanks Roger, the non skid was put on with a roller, and doesn't match the original texture. From my limited time on the new deck, it does have more grip, especially when wet. The original was worn pretty smooth. When I get down to the boat I will get a photo of the new texture. I still have a lot of...

Re: F-26 Deck Repair

Thanks guys. That turned out really well Matt. I like the plate that you used under the roller pivot. What did you use under the deck for a backer? Paul, I have a similar stainless bracket underneath. I wanted to spread the load a little. Thanks again for all of your help, I really appreciated it. M...

Re: F-26 Deck Repair

Finally, after 23 months She's back in the water. I still have some work to do, but I'm happy to be back in and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/Matt_S_C1/2b8a16de-dbbe-415a-b4a0-4a245251ff77_zpsf615a27a.jpg http://i531.photobucket.com/albums/dd359/...

I would call Bob at Beacon Marine, he should be able to help you out. I would also make sure there isn't any damage to the rudder stuffing box.

Re: Help with buying a 1986 F-26

The F-26 was last produced in 1983 if my info is correct. It was re-introduced as the F-27 I think for two years back in the mid-80's It's pretty much the same as the F-26. Some problem areas that I would look for is a soft deck, especially where the anchor is mounted , as well as on the cabin top w...
