I've owned carvel planked and double planked boats. In my experience, products like slick seam work best for taking up small separations until the water can swell the wood back into being tight. "bang on ! 6 gallons of 180 degree + water goes a long way...no need of making a new wheel when the old one is round...." Hopefully you are using a tempering valve down stream of the water heater. Use a Watts 70A to temper it down to no greater than 130 and you'll have a "virtual"...

Went by the boat yard today. I saw the two Hatt's previously mentioned and a possible third that looked like it was worth $2000. No one around to talk to about it on site.

I pass that boat yard at least twice a day(all American Boat Storage). I can see two Hatt's from the street. 1) is about a 36-40 foot S/F and the other is an older MV that looks closer to 60 feet. If I get a chance I'll stop in and ask about the $2000 Hatt.
