I've seen a guy out towards Arcadia Fl who puts in older 50 hp ford diesels in 25 Chris Crafts and Trojans. He told me he can go 10 kts at WOT. This includes making a pocket for the prop, shaft and rudder for our shallow depths around Charlotte Harbor. The installation was very rough but had the pot...

you could use an indirect water heater and heat with your closed cooling engine hot water. I think they used to make a 20 gallon boilermate(amtrol)

If that is and auto 318, and you are running it RWC, you may want to marinize it a bit more while you are at it. You'll need to change all the freeze plugs to brass and change the head gaskets to "marine". Just to be sure, you may want to get the S/N off the block and look up the cam spec'...

Don"t remove the closed cooling system until you've checked the raw water pump, engine heat exchanger, transmission heat exchanger and exhaust dumps for restrictions. While that Lake Erie water may be fresh it is always better to have stale water in the block than fresh. Not to mention the incr...

most likely battery switches.Don't shut both of them off while the engines are running, you could kill the alternator.
