Nickbezy I hope you don't mind a couple of questions. I'm looking for dimensions. 1) height from the inside of the hull(hopefully not over the hollow keel) to the CL of the input shaft on the v-drive. 2) height from the CL of the input shaft on the v-drive to the underside of the cockpit deck. I had not picked a specific engine yet, although I've seen some 4 cylinder fords(apx.65 hp) in a couple of Trojans and chriscrafts/allmands of that size with no height problems. They where used for small shallow water shrimping boats with top end of 7 kts. At 5kts, according to the re-builder, they ...

Thanks for the reply.
I'm investigating the possibility of installing a rebuilt deisel in one of these and figure the v-drive will allow me the lengthwise room for an inline 6. Height may still be a problem.
