Re: 1976 Tri Fly Fuel System
Hey Christian, those are all the valves I was able to find on mine, also it's been my experience that there will always be air in the top of those see through filters.

Re: Seacock Replacement
My interest is peaked, I was going to guess that it was a lid to a mason jar bong, but i'm thinking now it has something to do with glassing in the holes?? If you continue with this type of work I am going to be jealous. I will start a thread soon of my tri-fly project, and it won't be for the faint...

Re: Seacock Replacement
I'm guessing your mystery part is the lid to a thumper for moonshine.
It's about time you added that! You'll enjoy the results

What would have caused this?
I'm a little stumped here, how would water have gotten into the intake runner to freeze and cause this? The boat has been stored outside for 4 years, has twin 400 Chryslers From what I can tell the motor was otherwise winterized, drain cock opened and antifreeze in the remaining water. There is no &...

Hey Christian, anytime you need a picture of some thing or need to know "what's under there" but are not about to pull your floor up, or the interior out, let me know, I'll see if I can help out.
Glad you're making some progress.

Re: Unknown Items
Hey Christian, that tube does in fact have the steering shaft inside. The shaft goes from the upper helm to the bilge in that tube. Then into 90 degree gearbox, becomes a chain over to the lower helm This picture shows the gearbox in the bilge under the corner of the head in line with the tube above...

Re: Unknown Items
Hi Barrie, Great fun but I'm not sure I will be able to put it in the water this summer. Its all about the journey :D Christian LOL, just read your whole post Christian. I see it's NOT going to hit the water this year :) My boat also has the stainless tube from bathroom to upper deck, I think the u...

Re: Unknown Items
Hi Christian, I'm glad you'll get to use your new boat this year. Both of the motors are "stuck'" likely seized :(. the intake manifold is cracked on one, (I didn't see that!) I planned on a 2 year project anyhow, and I have a small Cruiser Inc. I worked on all winter for this year. I laug...

Re: Unknown Items
Yes, it's home, now I can get ripping it apart, I think you were wise walking away from this one! It's going to be a complete gut and reassemble, including both of the 400 Chryslers (which I can rebuild for about $800 a piece) Glad you got one that is near ready to go, good luck with it I don't know...
