Re: Anti siphon valve
WHOA hold up there mr. jigsaw are you sure you have to cut the deck? if you had room to remove the antisiphon valve i think you would have room to install a new fuel sensor.i would try unscrewing it first and see if you cant wiggle it out. its probably a swing arm unit and you'll be suprised at how ...

Re: Battery question
you'll need to remove them. if you dont want to pull the batteries and take them to autozone, advance etc you could get this. it wouldnt be a bad idea anyway because occasionally you may need to check voltage and condition of batteries and is not that much money to buy. i have one similiar and have h...

Re: Genny fuel pickup
i take it you did not specify a fuel pickup for genset in either of the new tanks? if you have another pickup on the new tank then check the length of the gen pickup tube and cut it shorter as not to drain the tank so you have fuel to get home. the gen will only use apx 1 gal/hr at 100% load so at 5...

Re: Fuel Gauge
have you done the sending unit wiring and check as stated above? thats the easiest thing to do first. if the sending unit fails its test its a piece of cake to change out as long as you have some access to the top of the tank. you need to know the apx vertical measurement of the tank and the one pur...

Re: Anti siphon valve
For those curious, the anti siphon valve is in line right at the exit of the fuel tank at the 90 degree fitting and before the fuel line starts. Mine was 3/8npt threads on both ends with an adapter on the down flow side screwed in to connect a flare fitting on the copper fuel line. The other side s...

Re: Fuel Gauge
Also, the fuel gauge needle should be below "E" when the ignition is turned off. If the needle does not move when the ignition is turned off the gauge is broken. i'm sorry this is not always true, some guages maybe but not all. you cannot make this assumption for every fuel guage or any g...

Re: Anti siphon valve
on my 78 f32 with copper lines it was this, does yours look like this? the valve is in the circle its 3/8" NPT x 3/8" screws to the 90 degree fitting on the tank and the other side has the flare to gas line adaptor. in addtion you might disassemble and visually inspect to note any issues i...
