What props do you have? 15x16 cupped 3-blades perhaps?

Ernesto is dumping a bit of rain on us as I type - no real wind. I went out and surfed this am @ 6:45 - but it was too choppy to enjoy, so I went to the office.

exhaust

Is the exhaust clean or black (or different from side-to-side) under full load? Plug wires don;t last long in the marine environment - I'd replace if they are over 5 years old just to be safe anyway. May not fix, but its cheap insurance. I also prefer the Champion SS plugs - they won't rust in place...

replacement gas

There are sevral after-market (Mercruiser).

I put a First Mate 454 fro my 26 - running great - 55mph offshore to the gulf stream!

Barr is reptuable - and Mercruiser (new) is an option.
