I have a 73' F-31 the same as yours, just a difference in age. When I bought the boat it had a small pump, up front, with an automatic float switch and a manual over ride, on the dash, to run the pump. I installed a pump in the the rear with a Rule switch in the side, mounted above the throttle leve...

You will need to measure the overall length of yours and find out the overall length of the replacements. I bought two, several years ago, for my F-31. They are a shorter than the originals. I don't know if they are the same make as those pictured though. I can make mine work but I had to make up pl...

I haven't done it myself but I know someone who drilled into the back side of the keel and placed a small drain plug towards the bottom, where the water could be drained. I don't know if I would like a drain on the outside of my keel though. Besides being a little bit of a drag, through the water, i...

My boat is over in Galloway Creek marina. If you like, you can see it for youself. E mail me at mtwolf@695online.com. Make sure you put a title with something using Trojan Boat or I am liable to delete the e mail by accident. Just let me know when you would like to see it.

I have the original owners Manual for my Trojan. The interior wood in my F-31 73 Trojan was finished with Watco Teak Oil, available from Home Depot, at least that's where I found it. Watco was what was originally used. I refinished all the interior wood a few years ago. I removed it, took it home an...

The only bad thing I have heard about synthetic is if you have always used regular motor oil, in your engine, and then switch to synthetic, the engine will leak oil like a seive. I don't know if this is true or not. Just keeping your oil changed should do the trick. I have 318's also and run 10W 40....

The problem with wood boats, in the Chesapeake Bay area, is that a lot of marinas won't allow them in anymore. They are tired of being stuck with and having to cut up and get rid of wood hulls. People, in general, don't want the old wood boats and it's hard to get insurance. I have a friend with a 6...
