Luxury of having the coast guard in your harbor. Our inlet in lake Erie was dredged last spring, and we have a spot like you describe that is 2-'3' beyond my running gear and the shallowest. Same thing right where the waves crash into the harbor. Well if water levels go down I will not be going lake...

Never leave them over the side when docking. With the twin screws its just so easy to dock, i will have my wife record my novice dock...

New Castle? Delaware? I take it you mean the corp. office is in New Castle, or something similar, but you will be working in Baltimore? My office will be in New Castle. There are two offices, one in Baltimore and one in New Castle. The hire ups asked that I focus on New Castle as the work location....

Think I would leave the boat up north until you have some time (two or three months, or so) to scout out moorages. You can slip the boat in downtown Baltimore on the waterfront, also in any of the marinas and moorages on rivers and creeks all the way down to Annapolis and beyond. You will be amazed...

I had the one trans (port) that has walked in neutral since I bought the boat, Interesting point here. My port engine/trans did the same, walked a bit in nuetral. Last week I change the transfluid and now it doesn't do it anymore. Not sure if the bad fluid caused it or not, but it stopped. Not sure...

Thanks. Its a labor of love for sure. My job is stressful and I'm behind a desk running a huge organization, traveling all the time. Unplugging and working with my hands on counter tops, oil changes and fixing her up is HARD work, but VERY relaxing for me. This season she is really at a point where ...

OMG !! Maybe I am spoiled... but almost every video scared the crap out of me. Winds? Crane out of alignment when it first lifts? Get something swaying back and forth? Belts separate? AaaaaiiigghhHH!! I prefer the trailer / travelift system at my marina! I was with you, freaked out by that. Glad al...

poppasmirf wrote:WOW! Looks awesome. What product did you use to finish your teak?
Two part cleaner/brightened and 3 coats of golden teak oil. Used polyurethane 3 years ago, going this route this time. Love the look and non-slip surface when wet.
