Hi, the 351 runs great will turn up to 4,000 rpm with a 14x10 with a cup but the gallons per hour at 2800 is 11.3 GPH and I have been told by Mattsc with the same boat that his boat with a similar 350 burns around 6.0 GPH at 2800, I use the boat in Canada around Vancouver Island and gas can be aroun...

the engine is off set a inch or two the strut remains center on my 1975 f26 the engine is closer to the port engine stringer than the starboard engine stringer my 1978 chris craft 22 cutlass was the same way, this is done to help single engine boats steer better. the problem with replacing the prop with a left hand is that the engine in a single is off set to the port side an inch or two to make the boat go straight and to turn better, might be better off replacing the cam,lifters and cam drive and frt and rear crank seals and flipping the raw water pump imp...

yes in my 1975 f26 the wires run up the strb side windshield pillar and top of windshield frame the trim unscrews from the frame but the headliner needs to be removed from the head and in my 1975 it uses diodes to make the nav lights work

also you can cut the top off the stringer fiberglass box section and lift out the rotten stringer cut a new one out of fir and epoxy it in and glass over the top thats the way I did mine in my f 26 it was the starboard outboard stringer

sure, run a wire from the ground known good ground and alligator clip it onto the wiper motor ground point. anchor lights use the same ground wire

i had the same problem on my f 26 and found a bad ground on the widshield frame, you might have the same problem also the wire size was kinda small you might have to run a new 14 ga wire up the right hand side of the frame and to the fuse panel

there are two bulletins one from BorgWarner and one from Mercruiser one was a baffle that goes in the vent chamber I will try and find that one and the Mercruiser one that there was a different way to have the return line from the oil cooler to the lower right corner of the trans...............

that is a problem with some of the velvet drives, does it happen when the trans is cold and neutral, there is a factory bulletin on this
