Re: Flat Tappet
LOL.... Yes I was thinking about the zinc/oil. The original engine manual says to use straight 30. I have been running Pennzoil 30w.... I also thought about adding the zinc additive to that. What are your thought on zinc additives?

MCCK Onan
I have a 1989 International with the original MCCK generator and am curious what type of oil I should use in it? I replaced the oil once with Onan oil which was fairly expensive and was hoping I could switch to something else which would be of equal value

Re: Gas Tank Sender Float
So I decided to order a new float instead of worrying about changing the cork. The float is mechanical and was very easy to install with one issue. The new sending unit came with screws that had some typed of thread sealant on them. My issue is that the supplied screws seemed to be a bit too long an...

Gas Tank Sender Float
My gas gauge stopped working on my 1989 10.8 International this week. I pulled the sender unit today and learned that the cork float was sinking in the tank. I have since learned that the ethanol gas breaks down whatever coating was originally on the cork. Has anyone been able to dry the cork out an...

Re: 11M and 12M Convertible boats' draft and other info?
The 10 and 10.8 are indeed different. The 10 has an LOA of 33
and the 10.8 is LOA of about 36. Three feet added to the stern
I believe.

Re: Anodes
I think it is a matter of time before the zinc is phased out due to environmental reason. When I read the article on Performance Metals website along with others this is the reason they have come out with Navalloy Aluminum Anodes to be used in all water types.

Anodes
As I sit and watch the snow fall again, I was online looking to purchase a new divers plate for the boat. Typically, since I boat in fresh water I would purchase a magnesium plate. This year it seems like I am reading a lot about Navalloy Aluminum Anodes which are supposed to be good in all water ty...
