Re: Circulation pump failure
Just as an FYI for anyone else who runs into this: I couldn't find a replacement for circulation pump pulley 20114 so I ordered R065049. The diameter of this pulley though is larger so it doesn't fit. I still haven't been able to find a replacement for the 20114 pulley. I repaired my old one as best...

Re: Circulation pump failure
Anyone know where I can get a replacement circulation pump pulley? Will any big block short pump v-belt pulley work?

Re: Circulation pump failure
Yeah I like to minimize failure points (extra hoses, fittings, and clamps) but it looks like I have no choice here. I guess I will just use a big loop like what has been on there.

Re: Circulation pump failure
The one on my other engine has the outlet at 45 degrees like the drawing because I replaced it about a year ago. I could do the same for this one but for $300+ I would rather re-use it. I can't seem to find any information on where these 90 degree outlet versions were used.

Re: Circulation pump failure
Here's what the circulation pump looked like. A lot of corrosion on the impeller. Haven't taken it all the way apart yet but I'm sure what is left of the bearing looks similar. Looks like your sweet spot is between 20 and 22 knots. Significantly faster than your old sweet spot with the gas engines which was around 15 knots correct?

Re: Circulation pump failure
No no, sorry the picture was just supposed to be of the terrible hose and elbow. The raw water pump is fine... I just rebuilt it a few months ago. The circulation pump is what failed.

Circulation pump failure
I have read numerous times on forums that circulation pumps rarely fail... so sure enough mine did. I had noticed some squealing and wobble for the past couple months and knew it was only a matter of time. Well I was out cruising along this weekend after having the bottom cleaned and the boat was ru...

Re: FloSacn Install Completed
Great post! Accepting that you haven't completed a final calibration yet, what were your actual fuel burn rates at 2400 and 3200 rpm?

Re: wash down pump wiring??
I would advise against that. I had done exactly that briefly and out on the water one of the washdown hose fittings broke. That meant I couldn't turn on the freshwater pump without spraying saltwater all over the bilge. My fix on the water was to snip the washdown pump wires and when I got back to d...

I will be docking my 10 meter on the outside of a dock in a canal. Being only about 4 houses from the river, the water does have a bit of chop and wind comes through. The dock is about 30 feet long with 3 pilings on the outside spaced about 20 feet and 10 feet apart. The water height is about 2 feet...

Re: monday
Cool pictures! I crossed paths with a cruise ship a good distance offshore a few weeks ago and was shocked at how big of a wake it threw. Looked like a rogue wave coming at me and could see it coming for a good quarter mile.

Bottom Job and More
Over the last couple weeks I have made a lot of progress on my 10 meter. Had a crane come to the marina to haul the boat out on July 3rd. There is no travel lift at the marina I am at so me and a neighbor split a crane to haul out my boat and his Mainship trawler for bottom jobs. Spent all of the lo...

Haul out / bottom paint
I'm going to have her hauled out in a couple weeks. I plan on doing the bottom job and checking/replacing all thru-hulls as necessary. What bottom paint do you guys recommend for brackish/saltwater use in Florida? The boat is mostly in the Banana River which is brackish, shallow, and very warm. How ...
