Re: F-32 engine hatch size

Roughly 36" x 60". That should be pretty close. I was just in and out of my engine room yesterday.

Re: Interesting Trojan Story

I've seen this story pop up multiple times over the years but have never had the courage to speak up about it. All I can say is it was very good legal team that won a judgement based on the 'design' of the aft air intakes. While I do agree the F32 design helped kill those folks, I do not believe it ...

Re: Diesel refit ?

No question about the 'feel' of a diesel boat. It is hard to explain until you're standing on one while it's running. Regarding cost of my re-power, I compared brand new gas engines (350 chevy's), gears and controls to brand new diesel engines, gears and controls. It worked out about $38,000 gas vs....

Re: Diesel refit ?

Thanks for the compliment Prowlerfish! If anybody wants some testimony on a recent gas to diesel refit, I can tell 'em all about it. Just give me a call.

Re: Soft deck

You might consider using a tintable spray bedliner material (ex. Raptor) then topcoating with high quality polyurethane (ex. Imron). I did mine 5 years ago and it is still flawless. It will likely last another 15 years. One great aspect is you don't have to do much fairing work, just grind the heck ...

What brand of dripless shaft seal is this?

Does anyone happen to know what is the brand name of these shaft seals? They may be recognizable by the green yoke on the spring side. Mine are putting out a fine spray mist and I am hoping some sort of a service kit may be available instead of buying whole new assemblies.

Thanks, Dave.

Congratulations! Trojan's will raise fish. No record, but my wife caught this 155 pounder several weeks ago.

For what it's worth, my F32 is not fully on step (planed) under about 16 knots.
