I can anwers part of the question . you are correct on the battery swtich and you can tie both negative together and run 1 cable to the block . even thought I like to have a cable fron each battery go to the block .

How deep are they snapping off ? If pretty deep you could go to a larger diameter bolt that is shorter . your could change mounts to one with a different foot print ( fill the old holes with epoxy ) and of course you can try drilling the old bolts out .

Gee one part . your post says west prices are twice the price . sound like your talking about everthing they sell . yes west seems to be a liltle higher in many cases . twice the price maybe once in a while . and west has some better prices on somethings the gap has closed a lot in the past few year...

I am sorry to lose boaters world and they can be slighty cheaper the west .But I do most my busness with West becuse of the service they know boats. at boaters world most of the boaters there are jet skiers that know liltle about boats if the even know what a jet ski is . do not have I need in stock...

I like useing teflon pipe sealant sealant in a tube Its easier to use then the tape and does a better job . once you use it you may never go back to the tape .

Can you down size the photo It makes it hard to read the postings

I would not mount a open array on a pole , as the pole would have to be huge and need extra suport . My first boat with radar I buld a hard top to mount it on .
