It looks like I have a pair of 16x14 props on our F-32. Merc 230's with 1.52:1 reduction. Would that be how it was new? What are other F-32's running?
Thanks!

Closed cooled gasket question.
I have a closed cooling system with center rise manifolds and 3" riser extension blocks. What is the preferred gasket at the manifold to extension block connection point? I would have thought block off gasket then block off plate and block off gasket. When disassembled it was open gasket then b...

Re: Onan MCE help
Do the plugs look like they have been "steam cleaned" or look like they have been running really rich?

Plug wires fixed it. Appeared to be original Merc wires on the Port engine. STB had been done already at some point. Sorry about the crappy video, real windy yesterday.
Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Same up or down. Verified air doors on Q-jet secondaries are free too (while running) Cable issue would be fine with me, but that's not it in this case. Thanks for the suggestion!

If I can't drink and drive, my boat can't either! Submitted my form.

Merc 230 MIE w/ Thunderbolt IV - Chevy 305
Have been chasing down a problem for a while now. Port engine runs fun, starts fine, but usually won't pull a full load. Runs out of steam around 2500 rpm, but occasionally it runs up to speed for no obvious reason. It may start out that way or just happen in the middle of a cruise. Here is a list o...

Sorry no Mopar experience here but when I did the Chevys I used Mallory pumps. Don't know if they offer the Mopar marine version or not. I feel your pain!

Re: F27/F26 Fresh Water System
Not sure on an F-27 shower set up, but on a F-32 we just use two shower curtains at full length. On the non-head side they are just a little long, but on the head side they are perfect to cover the head and over lap to keep that area dry. Again, not familiar with the F-27 setup.

Re: Old Groco seacock
I shipped them out to you today. I know you said you wanted to reimburse me for the shipping but if its ok with you (and the moderators/beacon marine) I wanted to see if it was ok for you to just make a donation to beacon marine for the $18.64 shipping for the two seacocks. My boat renovation would...
