Love the hartop on your boat. Did you make it yourself? Whose? Danny's or mine? I bought mine on Ebay from a guy who had it on an express style boat. A welder I know put feet on it that attach to the side of the bridge. Good thing that Trojan did such heavy glasswork...you couldn't attach it like t...

Yeah...I have whites in my cockpit and yellows in the salon. I figure that design in the link is simple, clean and tough enough to last awhile. I think 3 sounds like enough too. So, 375 bucks for 3 lights totalling 54 leds...should be bright enough.

Underwater lights

I gotta have my boat pulled and clean it up soon. I let it sit for only 90 days without protection for a with and without a barnacle barrier photo - it got barnacles. So, now I've gotta pressure wash it. While it's on the hard, I though I might install some underwater lights on the transom. I don't ...

There are already patents on using a membrane to keep barnacles off your boat(google 'Mooring Bunker')....I researched it because I have been using a blue Lowe's tarp for a year to keep my running gear clean. You have to weight one edge of it down with net leadline so you can pull it under the prop...

Juice, Can you have models made of a Trojan F26? Sure. You can have models made of anything. The problem is you have to have a computer design genius "digitize" the model with a 3D CAD program. I had that done when we designed the this boat from scratch. But I don't know where you'd get t...

Books sounds interesting ... models look great! I have worked on several designs for my barnacle barrier - but I have to back into my dock, so its harder than yours where you go in nose first. Hey man! Well, make some suggestions and I'll throw something together for the book if you want to share w...

Juice, looks great! Let me knnow when you have a plan for your Barnacle Barrier for my boat, which backs into the slip! Could definetly use it... Yeah...that's a bit more tricky. I have a couple designs in mind but haven't laid them out yet to actually make one and see what the problems might be. T...

Update from the Sanibel Branch

Hello Trojan Brotherhood, I've been a stranger lately and miss the technical and other conversation. My normally free time has been gobbled-up this year by the stock market and side projects. Side Project 1: I wrote a book about a deceased client of mine that was the most successful jewel theif in A...

These are the strongest and best tarps you can find anywhere - used billboard signs. Even better, they have a 4" sleeve all the way around to secure it to your frame. Great stuff: http://cgi.ebay.com/20-Mil-14-x-48-Vinyl-Tarp-16-oz-ReUsed-Billboard-Cover_W0QQitemZ260419405851QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ...

hey everyone

That's the same boat that was for sale only a year or two ago and we discussed it on this site. The boat was used as a charter boat in Ft. Lauderdale for about 10 years and was sold for $75k. I actually spoke to the seller to indicate an interest and he said he had just taken a deposit. When I asked...

Give us a picture if you can. Mine did the same thing once and it turned out to be a little set screw in one of the gears had worked loose after 20 years. I removed the top, diagnosed the problem and reassembled in less than 15 minutes.

And yet, possibly another...Fountain Boats. http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/08/26/business-financial-impact-us-boatbuilder-bankruptcy-north-carolina_6818674.html Wow, never thought I'd see them eat it while Reggie is alive. There must be 10 Fountain sportfishers in my neighborhood alone. When I...

I went with a three pointed pooper scooper. Here's a pic because I don't know what else to call it. When anchoring in the river where the water is flowing and the bottom is muddy, it seems to dig into the goo a little better. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg120/juiceclark/IMG_0590-1.jpg When di...

Sweet boat dude!

But remember, whether a Hatteras or Bayliner, you can look forward to at least 50% of the purchase price in additional work to get the boat (right). That's just the way the world works. If it's the former boat of a dummy, like mine was, then that figure increases dramatically.

There won't be many boat manufacturers left after this big correction. I heard Riviera closed their plant last month. Times are tough. Y'all made the right decision buying a Trojan rather than getting a 10 year loan to buy a shiney, new piece of depreciating poverty!
