Why vinylester resin and not polyester resin? Poly is better with CSM. Its easier to absorb i to the CSM. Plus poly is a laminating resin. It stays tacky and you dont have to sand in between layers.

Engine hatches installed. All is good. Need to start up engines and get ready to get wet. Going to use FRP for the toe kicks around the outside under the gunnel wall.

Engine hatches complete. Transducer mounted. And props are put back on. Very happy at the moment. Will get some new pics this week.

Uncovered the boat yesterday. Not happy with the bow at all. Softer then i remember. That i will have to keep an eye on. Will definitely have to cut it all out and recore this winter. Im hoping it doesnt effect my season.

Canvas are done. And rubber gasket is done on hatch. Pickup and exhaust are drilled and set for genny. Will do the zinks and put props on today. Add the transducer for the new simrad system. Bottom is painted. And i figured out the starter issue.

From memory my starter resembles the 3rd picture the most. Could be i missed a post on the starter solenoid. But i believe there is only an ignition post and positive from battery post. Will post pictures later today.

On a ford there is an external solenoid that the ignition wire goes to.

Ok replaced solenoid and that didnt fix the problem. Went to the starter, realized there was an extra wire connected to the ignition terminal. This wire has 12v on it all the time once the engine ignition is put into crank. Now i need to figure out where that wire goes to see what the importance of ...

I like the non skid trimming. I thought about doing the same thing but decided not to just for simplicity. Lol
