10 meter people load limit?

i know smaller boats have a limit as to number of people they can legally carry. There is usually a placard with the number on it. Lacking a number does the 10 meter express have a designated limit as to souls on board????

Re: Y valve ???

Thanks for the ID. I will go ahead and attempt to move to one side or the other. From the web link picture suspect the flat spot if parallel with the bottom of the valve. Will look at that and see if I can get an idea of which way it would move to be in the alternate position.

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

I think what your seeing could be gravity at work . Since goes down to a that level and stops . How well will a gravity feed work in rough seas ? What about when you sell it ? If this was my boat I would fix it right (fix the Vacuflush ) But if you really don't care about the head , there is always...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

A tank of fuel will be 300 gal. or about 690.00. If it is something simple maybe can be done. But first I have to find a repair person to trouble shoot it. I would spend 690 dollars to do it, but doubt that will be enough. Also not all my motor homes were straight down, and on the Californian it was...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

Shop VAc, Your are correct. i rigged our Californian so I could pump the holding tank with a big wet dry shop vac. Than carried it up to my septic tank and dumped it. Put a Y valve in the line and made a hook up for the vac. Have in mind doing that for this boat if I can gravity feed to the tank and...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

Regarding the odor. What did we do with our motorhomes? I have had 6 of them starting in 1979. They were gravity feed. Maybe there was an odor treatment we used. When we flushed the water and material passed and the door was closed. Very little exposure and maybe the chemicals used hid the odor. ???...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

One more opinion needed. Looking at the pictures of the toilet installation. I am guessing the pipe leading into the end of the Vacu Tank from the forward bulkhead is the flush pipe from the toilet. It appears to be an 1 and 1/2 inch pipe. Is it fair to assume it is 1 and 1/2 diameter up into the bo...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

AFter reading RWS posts I did a little more checking this morning. Toilet lever up puts water into bowl, but toilet lever down, nothing happens. If the water leaks down that would be an indication of a seal issue.??? Would that also indicate the line isn't already full?? As well as the holding tank....

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

Another question on the system. The switch on the dc panel, labeled head, Does it just provide current so when the toilet lever is pushed down the vacu flush works? Right now when I flip that switch on it flips back off after about a sec or two. Suggests something is overloading the circuit. But wit...

Re: Y valve ???

Here is another picture showing the valve stem which is flat on one side. Another picture that shows the plumbing further on. I think I see a macerator pump on the bottom outgoing hose. The other hose goes up to the pump out station. Am I correct?

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

RWS, well poop, oh I mean well put. You are making a convincing case for trying to get it fixed. I have asked about getting it check with a local expert here using the local fishing forum. No response. I guess the approach would be to check out the vac motor since I don't get any response from it. D...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

I don't mind carrying poop, if necessary. There are systems that work other than the vacu-flush. I will explore them and get something simpler, rather than spend hundreds to fix a system that may not last a year. The existing system is old, neglected and may be a constant money pit for me. Consideri...

Re: Y valve ???

It is 24 miles for us to a pump out station. We are going to take the boat over and have it hauled out, probably after Christmas, and at that time we plan on a pump out try. I note when I push the flush lever down there is water standing at the slide trap door, but that may be because the vacu-flush...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

After reading all the posts that came up in RWS's link I will see if I can find a workaround to the vacu-system. Toilet will get used very little. That system with duck bills, and $$ for parts etc, and the maintenance requirements, like flush some water, do this and do that, convince me we could get...
