Re: Cappy's f32 rehab

Pretty certain your rear deck had been replaced before. The white oak was the Trojan standard. With the 2x6 bracing, your rear deck should be super strong.

Re: Battery configuration

Just a FYI, a few years ago on my 24’ Express Cruiser, I ran a portable generator when weekending. To make sure I was as safe as possible, I installed a Xantrex/Kiddie Marine CO Detector onboard. They work differently than a household model, utilizing a modified sensing curve before alarming. Oddly ...

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal

Looking good! I started a F36 last year and lost interest after my wife’s medical issues took a temporary turn for the worse. Hopefully you make it farther than I did!

Congrats! I’ve been getting used to our 1980 F32. She is definitely a fun little project. I use the word little with great sarcasm.

Prowlersfish a time traveler? Perhaps! Every time I’m around him, I hear Dreamweaver playing in the background.

Re: Not able to reach top end on F32

Well I didn’t get a chance to check compression this weekend. Too many other projects, like pulling a stern tank that had a broken weld. That one wasn’t in the works for sure!

I was able to get up to 3280 on port and 3375 on starboard. Going to keep working with her to see where I get.

Re: $125,000 F26

Only thing I don’t get is they totally refinished the entire boat and didn’t really do much more on the engine to bring it up to date. Why not drop in a brand new power plant?
