Re: New F32 Owner tips on Vberth and Screen Door

Congratulations on the new acquisition. As someone who moved up from a 24' to a 32' and now a 36', I am certain you will enjoy the extra space and layout. The easiest way to get a good fit on your sheets is to use a king size flat sheet with elastic clips to hold it together. A good fitted sheet wil...

Re: Looking for a few good boaters for Norfolk Harborfest

Aw Prowler, it is fun. When else do you get the opportunity to be around cannon fire, be doused in water cannons, have assault ships wizzing past you while firing off their automatic weapons, with twenty tugs sounding horns simultaneously, and workboats so thick you can walk on them? Oh yeah, don't ...

Re: Looking for a few good boaters for Norfolk Harborfest

I did. A story that involves the wife's hammer coming down. She's more excited than I have ever seen her before. I did love looking at her last night when she said you just bought stuff for the boat and I got to say "nnnnnooooo, you bought stuff for the boat". That sheepishly cute smile of...

Looking for a few good boaters for Norfolk Harborfest

For all of the southern Chesapeake Bay Trojan owners... we are looking for good boaters to be Harborfest Safety Boats. June 9, 10, & 11, 2017 Norfolk Festevents will hold the 41st Annual Harborfest. I am one of the Safety Boats during the event (and as luck would have it, will also be a happy F3...

Re: Detroit Diesel Engine Sticker Numbers

Think of those stickers as reference books for your engines. Each block could be modified slightly to produce the desired characteristics of the engine. Those stickers basically give your mechanic a guide to follow when ordering parts for inframe/out of frame rebuilds.

The early model F36's seem to have them more than the later models.

Re: '73 F36 Convertible - What to do?

After crawling over the '73 F36 several additional times, I came to the conclusion that I was going to pass on it. It just needed too much work to be of any decent return value once complete. The delta was just too far from cash in and cash out. That said, if anyone needs any parts for their early 7...

Re: Looking at a 1973 F32 in the morning. Little Help Please

I do not own a F32, but have spent a considerable amount of time onboard and assisting with maintaince. The F32 with the stock Chrysler small blocks will cruise around 16 knots (18mph). With the beefed up 5.7L blocks she should cruise around 18-19 knots. Fuel consumption on my carbureated 5.0L block...

Re: Project "Tri Fly"

Thanks Barrie. Yes, the Vacuflush is the cats meow. A word of caution though, advise all landlubbers to be careful with your system. We had a guest try to flush an enormous amount of toilet paper combined with a rather large bowel movement. It didn't turn out well. The hole in the bottom of the head...

As I contemplate whether to purchase and restore a F36 SF, your thread may have just been the inspiration I needed.

Keep up the good work!

Re: Teleflex Syten to SeaStar upgrade

Captain, I had the SeaStar in my Chris-Craft 32 and maintained it myself, including rebuild. I installed a few back in the day as well. The hardest part of the job is getting the hoses in place and getting the proper mounting pad in place for the hydraulic rudder ram. After the ram is mounted proper...

Thank you Prowler and WayWeGo. The info is very valuable as we contemplate our options.

WayWeGo, would love to do a rendezvous this summer.
