Re: Radar Arch for 1982 F32
well you made an order already but my 2 cents, and ive never dealt with them is all the ones around me are custom made. The metal place often puts hinges on them so they can be flipped down for transporting over the road

Re: 1984 Trojan F32 engine replacement
Ive changed a couple on F32's without removing the glass. I simply ran a beam through the aft windows with a chain fall, pulled her out, lowered on a board and pushed it to the cockpit area where a marina grabbed it with a crane

Re: How to pull my Chrysler 400's from F36 Salon
Ive pulled motors and removed my generator but never bothered building an A frame. I dont think id trust my carpentry skills anyway, I always open the windows and run a beam through. I have it raised to the top of the windows by blocks/jack stands on the gunwales and beam through the windows. Very s...

Re: Through hual valev
those damn t handles, I dont think ive ever had a boat equipped with them that they actually worked. As far as changing that kind of thing in the water Ive changed water hoses and things, obviously the water flows in but its not high pressure like in a cartoon. If it helps you can attach a waterline...

Re: vinyl wrap for hull
careful of bumping it on docks and things, I see bubbles in professionally done ones Ive been on. The last one I was on was a 37 Outerlimits my friend ownes, the place that did it again said theyd never do a whole boat again. IMO they only look good at a distance

Re: Oil Types for 280 gas engines
I myself and I have turned everyone I know onto using Shell Rotella 15w-40 which is a diesel oil. Its said to have additives excellent for the marine environment and its super cheap at Walmart, check it out on google if you dont believe me theirs many boaters using this

Re: Teak Deck Refinish
my aft deck is teak with the black caulk, I redid the caulk, sanded, 2 part cleaner and 4 coats cetol natural (I think the cetol light is too orangy) and 2 coats clear with non skid polymere, looks great. http://i1264.photobucket.com/albums/jj488/KAnderson4282/Mobile%20Uploads/20151204_112734.jpg ht...

Re: Whens your launch?
I actually dont mind the off season although at times I envy the people down south. The off season gives me time for repairs and improvements, these are things that seem to get pushed off when the season is in full swing. This off season ive been doing some of the teak over, powder coating hardware,...

Re: Best boat for family - 36' Tri-Cabin?
I say save it, dont be scared of a low priced boat, as other have stated, storage, hauling, bottom service etc is often a consideration by both the seller too who may have lost interest or funds. I bought each of my Trojan F32's for under $5,500 I made money on the first 2 and am currently enjoying ...
