Love the diesels. They make the boat ride better and have the torque to move the boat at 5 knots in idle. Love it.

Sounds like you have a game plan but I think the flags other people have posted need to be looked into. I also would want you to make sure the boat you buy is not underpowered. I have seen that to many times on boats.

I have been out on my Mckee and have not caught a think. I know why and will correct it this next time out. I had my bait on the to...

Well we replaced our horn and the new horn is loud and has a lower tone than the old one. I definately think it will do the job.

I am glad to see a way to do that. I did wonder how they did it. Now I know and I like this method. Thanks.

How about your horn.

We have had problems with keeping a horn working. It seems after a year the horn quits. I took apart the last horn and wanted to see what was happening. It was getting hot and melting the plastic insulator. I thought that the design was bad and I definately will not buy that brand again. I am gettin...

This is interesting. I will have to check ours. I remember the last time I replaced a motor there were several wires but I am not sure how many circuits are involved. I shall find out.

Let's face it to a sales person who is pitching to buyers Salon has a more elegant sound and meaning than saloon or cabin. When you sell things that are pricy you want to use expensive terms to describe them. Just go to a pricy restaurant and see the way the desribe the food you get. They definately...

Now that, that is settled, LOL I think I would hate to ask the difference between a yacht and a boat. I can remember thinking that any boat over 50 foot was a yacht. I don't know if that stands true today.

We have found that most vibrations are caused by a prob being bent or damaged, nicked, etc. Ofcourse a bent shaft would vibrate too. We corrected our vibrations when we bought the boat by having the props redone.

Windshield wiper motors.

I was checking the amperage on some windshield wiper motors. I see many of them have a maximum of 5 amp draw. Now I have not checked, but will, the size of wiring run to our wiper motors. A number twelve wire is put on a 20 amp circuit but good wiring practice tells you not to let over 12 amps on th...

Yes they do shoot at a 45 degree angle. When we put a nozzle on that had just a whole in it, it shot over the boat LOL. We then put on a nozzle with a wide angle of spray. It still shot high but does get the windshield very wet. Now when you are moving the wind will force the water toward the windsh...
