Re: Not able to reach top end on F32

I did not realize the Trojan based their cruise figures on 3,000 RPMs even though they would stay on plane in the 2,600 RPM range. That being the case, I am SO looking forward to stomping this problem out so that I c...

Re: Not able to reach top end on F32
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to pull off the props before I launched it back into the water last week. I will check this weekend to see if my paperwork shows anything.

Not able to reach top end on F32
My 1980 Trojan F32 with twin Chrysler M360 is not reaching anywhere near top end. The maximum RPMs I have been able to achieve is 3,190 on both engines. Max speed was 20.2 knots with about 200 gallons of fuel onboard and no water. Just painted the bottom and all running gear is in good shape. Is any...

Re: Fuel removal
I just removed 80 gallons of water contaminated fuel out of my port saddle and stern tanks. I used the Carter Electric Rotary Vane fuel pump that had been installed for the port engine. After consulting with Beacon Bob, I had to add fuel to the tanks once the pump couldn't pick up any additional fue...

About all that is left are the forward salon windows, the sliding door, two fiberglass mufflers, rub rail, bow rail sections, and forward hatches.
I am just happy that she lives on as a donor boat to so many Trojan owners.

Re: Steps to Buying a Boat
If the boat is documented, you will need to perform a lien search through the USCG Documentation Center. I looked at a boat a few years ago and had to walk as it had an old lien on it that was more than the owner wanted for the boat. The prior buyers didn’t discover it until they tried to get it doc...

Re: Steps to Buying a Boat
Doghouse, you are on the right train of thought. First, set your budget (ideal, max, and min). Ideal is where you know you can afford to do some upgrades / special touches to a boat. Max is where you limit out on your cash / financing. Minimum sounds funny, but as you start looking, you will notice ...
