Uhhh....you do make sense. The soft area is growing rear of the hole I should have caulked, by about 1 to 1 1/2ft And about 3 inches fore of the hole.
Ok I'm highly considering the top now........

Re: Soft deck
Wow! Was there any part of the deck you didn't replace. Amazing. I know what your saying about gravity and voids, but with the smaller area I was planning to do, I thought I'd use an inflated bladder from below. Not sure what that is exactly yet. I also thought I'd drill holes where the anchor fitti...

Re: Soft deck
Your boat looks great. I'm surprised you can paint over a bed liner. I would think the paint would crack being over a soft surface. I've been studying my soft deck issue and I'm planning to cut the bad out from below. I figure that the area being about a foot by a foot I can mange the work from belo...

Re: Soft deck
When you used 2 part paint were you able to mix small
Batches? When I used the primer I ended up mixing the whole can. It seamed a little tricky to try to measure out a smaller batch since the Interlux primer paint I used was extremely thick and hard to measure

Re: Soft deck
That's good to know. My bow has that condition when on the hard. I have the bow lower so water drains out the drain hole in front. Thanks for the info. Are you considering a 2 part polyurethane?

Re: Soft deck
I [used Brightside on my rear deck and it was easy for me compared to the 2 part primer interlux recommended that I put on first. The only problem I had with the rear deck was with the Awlgrip. It was too cold when I put it on and it clumped in certain areas . I think I can clean it real good and re...

Soft deck
A few years ago I rebeded the anchor mount on the front deck of my Tri-cabin and never filled in one of the old mounting holes. Yes, I self induced the next problem ..... A soft deck under my anchor. There is a lot of info on the forum and online on how to repair it. So this fall I plan to open up t...

Re: looking for a 400 cid chrysler standard rotater
Once you start the job it would be great to see some pics on how you removed and replaced the engine especially if yours are under the rear beds as mine are on my 73 Tri cabin

Re: F28 List
My brother had a 78 F28 and it listed one way. Don't remember which way, but we figured if the water tank was full it might put her straight. There was a problem with the fresh water, so we were never able to see.

Re: Salon Ceiling Material
It looks great in the pics Rick. The foil sounds like a great idea. I plan to try it. I bought regular vented headliner material to replace the old stuff. I think my A/C losses performance as the water gets really warm at dock toward the end of the summer. The condenser might not be performing well ...

Re: Salon Ceiling Material
That looks good. Can you tell me where you got the aluminum insulation and what you used for glue to hold it to the ceiling? Also, have you gone thru a summer yet to see if it helped your A/C?

Rick, I was away for awhile and didn't see your posting. Your headliner looks great. Where'd you get the caps over the screws? That gives it a really finished look

Re: 74 Tricabin power
I have a 73 Tri cabin that is nearly original. Aaron and the Trojan experts on this forum have been a great help over the years for me. Maybe it's my turn to help out too now. I sent you a note with my email if you need any manual info, or have questions on where things are I'm happy to help. I have...

Re: Salon Ceiling Material
I was thinking the same thing watching him cut all those small pieces and glueing them in. Either way, it's something to consider. I still plan to explore different materials to replace the original. What else is there to do when it's 5 degrees out. It's planning season. Thx guys
